This game is so charming! I love the little walking animations that all the pets have. So adorable.

One thing I noticed, though, I could get all the pets to follow me by moving step by step and get them onto the carpet without ever using a single treat. Maybe don't make them auto-follow? That way you need to use the treats to get them to do what you want. Alternatively, you could make it so that each animal type has a different behaviour, for example dogs could aggressively follow you around, cats could be really aloof and not care about your presence at all and you have to use treats to get them to follow, and hamsters could be scared and try to hide, and you have to find them, use treats and lure them in.

A technical issue I noticed was if more than one pet is following you and they overlap, the audio gets really jittery, I assume it's because the audioplayer is getting a little confused as to which source takes precedence. It's not that big a deal.

I know it seems like I've said a lot of stuff, but I really liked this one, it was really cute, great entry, well done!

Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of having different behaviors, I might implement that after the jam. Glad you enjoyed my game :D

I'm getting an error when i try to load up the game ;-;

The Windows version or the web version? At the moment, the web version doesn’t work. Sorry :( When the jam is over, I will fix this problem and you could always come back to play it on the web.

The web version yeah. I'll give the windows version a try and update my rating.
(I rate games which don't work for me based on what other's have reported + the screenshots. Essentially making an educated guess. But now I can actually play the game proper my rating will be accurate)

same, as of 6/17/21

The game was enjoyable and silly and it was entertaining to run around for a bit and try to lure the different animals to the center! Some of the mechanics were a bit unclear, it seemed like the three types of animals acted differently but I wasn't sure, and I definitely spent most of my time spamming treats but I still had fun! Good job.

Developer(+1)

It’s true that the 3 types of animals acted slightly different. Thanks for playing :D

I like the game, it was simple but with a fun concept, picking up treats was funky to work with and often didn't work and I did glitch out the cat many times but overall I like it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I’ll try to fix those glitches after the jam :)

Really cool idea. It would definitely be nice if you only had a certain amount of each resource and had to use them more carefully tough. Because right now you can just spam them on the ground, besides that well done :D.

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll try to add a bit more strategy to the game after the jam :)

The collision is bad because sometimes pets are stuck in it and it is very hard to get them out!!  and Also the player!!!

Developer

Sorry about that. I’m aware of this issue and I’ll try to fix it after the jam :)

Just an idea, but maybe you can make it so the animals get "fat" if you feed them too much, and thus moves slower, which makes you more stratigically place the treats instead of spamming them everywhere :)

Developer

Thanks for the idea! I’ll try to implement that after the jam :)

Very cute game, great job!

Thanks :D

This game was very adorable! I kinda just spammed treats on the carpet and they stayed forever but it was fun nonetheless!

Developer

Thanks :D

Wow, the art is so cute and fun! Great game design, I just wish the web version worked. But worth the download! Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks :)

As you noted on the game page, the web version is not loading for me.  Since I'm filtering by play in browser, I'll come back to this if I get a chance to play the download version.

Developer(+1)

Sorry for the inconvenience. After the voting week, I will fix this problem and you could always come back to play it on the web.

Np, I got the download today.  I thought it was very cute, though there's no real tension and the animals will all follow you anyway if you go slowly enough.  (They will also go right through walls which is a little odd ^_^; ) Since they will do that, there's not too much of a point to the treats except to quick-spam a bunch of them at the critters that are in the middle already so they'll stay while you go off in search of the rest.
Nevertheless, heartwarming idea, thank you for the experience! ^_^

Thanks for playing! The pet’s colliders don’t well, sorry about that. I’ll be fixing bugs and adding more content after the jam. You can come back anytime if you’re interested :D
