Fun game! The cat feels pretty good to control and the unique jumping method is very interesting
I do wish the level was a bit bigger but for the time you had this turned out great!
NICELY DONE! AMAZING! The art was so good, my favorite part was the cat. So good. I loved how fluid it was. One thing, I felt like there weren't enough platforms for me to jump on. All in all this game is so good and I hope you continue to make more amazing games like this one. Thanks for the spectacular experience! :)
This game is cute. I love it.
This game is so cute - my brother and I had fun trying to get the best scores. Love the art. Nicely done!
Could you make it less tight! I love your game, and I liked how the soundtrack felt like Mission Impossible! GG!
I love the vibes this gives, like it hits a sweetspot in terms of control + asethetics that make it feel very nostalgic but still tight. Kind of reminds me of playing zombie tag lol
Good bit of fun, definitely nailed the feeling of cat movement. High score of 1140, could not get higher than that if I tried!
I love the animation behind every moment in here, especially sitting up on shelves.
I'd love to see some further interaction possible for the cat; maybe a basic 'swipe' that knocks back mice directly in front of you on a cooldown.
I think if I had one extra day or maybe even 6 extra hours I would have let the cat knock things over on the shelves to squish mice on the way down, but unfortunately I needed to sleep lol
Oh man, that's a fantastic idea, yes. Although I suppose sleep is important too!
Great! All the pixel art looks amazing and I love the idea of putting the dev high score at the end, I may have to do that next time
Thanks! I thought the dev high score would be a good idea to keep people motivated to try and beat me so I'm glad you liked its inclusion
Very cool! The concept and design are great, I struggled with getting used to how the cat is controlled but then it was ok (but I still don't know how you managed to get that high score!)
Night a nightmare at all! being chased and covered by rats. lol. Game is super fun, and strong visuals
Fun Game! really liked the art and the hold to jump functionality. The only thing that i think could be improved would be the cat physics. Would also be great if you could lure the mice into traps!
Nice animations! Love how it looks c:
I really enjoyed this game. Simple, easy to control, and fun. Impressive animations. No idea how you got that developer hiscore!
That running animation is slick, fun to run around and stomping the rats.
I love the twist, the game is very fun. Although the rats are a bit buugy at the sprite. I wish this is a larger map where you can jump on the book shelf or a ceiling fan.
I thought that if I made the map too tall players would spend too much time sitting on the highest point while the mice are climbing up and then just jumping off, so that's why I made the highest points on the map right above the mouse spawn points
This is a proper good platformer. There is a real trick to timing your jumps, and the rat AI is good at surrounding you, so it was tense the whole time, which is hard to do for a jam game. Good Work!
Nice work!! I like the art
"The cornered cat can't bite the rats" aww man!
Definitely think this is a neat twist and fits the theme quite well! I will admit that the controls feel a little off (maybe it would have been better to loosen them up a bit such as after a jump?) and hinder the experience somewhat but a good 'ol score attack game is always a good time and this is no exception!
When I played I felt that excitement and tension from the dynamic of the mice and cat and wanted to keep at it to do better! Well done!
Interesting idea. Maybe it would be better to refine the controls a bit. The cat's physics is kinda unintuitive, and the floor is so slippery. Also a larger map would probably be better
