It was a nice game to play, very challanging! I died like 20 times i guess haha

Hahaha thanks for the comment

The game was a lot of fun, but it was quite challenging. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks for the comment!!

The controls work well, and the game looks good too. The idea, while not revolutionary, is still a nice change of pace. The fact that the two characters are controlled oppositely adds an additional challenge every time you switch characters.

If I may give a tip: currently, players essentially follow the same path with both characters. It would be interesting if they had to take different paths or position both characters in a way that they can only reach the goal together.

But aside from that, it already feels like a polished game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment, yes, I plan to change that so that the 2 characters move more.

interesting

Interesting idea, though it would have been nice if the two characters needed to take different paths and open doors for each other; at the moment all you basically need to do is beat the level twice (once with reversed controls).

Developer

Thanks for the comment, yes, I didn't have time to fully develop the mechanics that will be fixed in future updates

It's not really much of a role reversal than it is just a reversal, but the idea can be good on paper--it's just that as the game is there isn't too much going on.

the platforming aspect of the game is a lot of fun, however!

I'm wondering if you can somehow fix the switching characters features, it seems the loop involves me just beating the game twice but with reverse controls, it would be interesting to see if there was something more to it :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment, if I plan to develop that mechanic but I didn't have time in future updates that will change in the construction of the levels

Good  platformer, but  not being able to change the gravity mid jump/air defeats the best of it's use.

It's not a bad reversal, but I do believe that with more tweaking on controls/mechanics and on the level design to accommodate such quirks, it could flesh out the best of it.

But 48h is 48h, so GG.

Thanks for the comment and if I plan to fix it in future updates

Wow, this was a challenge! This game broke my brain lol

Developer

Hahaha thanks!!

I love the art style and all the sound, but for me, the gameplay was more frustrating than fun. I fail to see the point of having both characters, other than to force you to beat the level twice in a row (and once with the controls reversed). After trying for a while, and losing about 30 times, I had to quit :(

Developer

Thanks for the comment, regarding the gameplay it is to fit the proposed theme for the jam as well as being challenging at the same time, and given the time of the jam 48 hours I had to make it more complicated than normal, it may not be a game for everyone is understandable

Great idea! I had a lot of fun trying to beat this. My only frustration was that the controls were reversed for one of the characters. I think I would have preferred the controls were consistent. Otherwise, great job!

Thanks for the comment, as for the inverted controls, it was to add another difficulty in addition to making the mirror effect

I like the gravity changing idea and the simple, but nice visuals.

Looked like there was some artifacting on the pixel art, to fix that you can select the image in Unity and set compression to none.

Nice job!

Thanks for the comment, there may be errors, thanks for notifying me, I'll try to fix it for future versions

Good take on the theme! The level design was very well put together. Good job.

Very fun and challenging! Loved the feel of the physics. I wish that the controls were not reversed while controlling the spaceman, but that does add to the challenge. I died right at the end, I have to come back to try and beat it!

Hahaha thanks for the comment

Interesting mechanic, gravity reversal and multiple controllable characters. The controls are fine but i wish it was possible to change gravity while in the air. Died a lot because of that sadly. The jumps are floaty but feel nice for the game. Overall fun little game albeit bit frustrating sometimes.

Developer

Thanks for the comment, having so few levels for the time of the jam I had to make them a bit complicated.
