Haha, love it:D The sound effects are really cool and funny, but I would more levels
Killing people = fun
What a fun take on role reversal. I like the Marco Polo aspect as the hunter gave away his position by shooting. Could imagine expanding on the concept with other "hide and seek" esque situations or the hunter having different weapons. Good work!
The hunted hunter haha, I had fun running all over him. Good Job !!
I like the game feel and the music. The chasing part was interesting because the human was so nimble.
Wow, the combination of the art style and the animations made it incredibly satisfying to play as the bear. The heaviness of the movement made it feel like there was consequence to your actions which I liked, there was almost this dance between precision turns around obstacles versus just barrelling head long towards the hunter.
The behaviour of the hunter felt very human and you could almost feel his fear as you charged him down. The final moments of the game were the most satisfying when you knew you had him in your sights and it was only a matter of time until he met his demise. For a simple game, this was well executed. Nice work!
Great style and awesome animations (the run of the bear is wonderful <3).
PS. A bear was recorded in the middle of my city yesterday. Wasn't it yours?
I like how the bullet gives up the hunter's position. The goal was clear. There were periods of time when I couldn't see the shot, but I always eventually found it again.
The trees blocked the view sometimes. It wasn't a big problem though, since the clusters were small, but having some way to see through them would be nice.
The hunter's AI was pretty good. It still easy enough to catch, but not without some evasion. I'm not sure if it's programmed to run by traps, but that happened a lot as though it was trying to trap me.
I really liked the bear control. It was just a little slow to change directions, which added a degree of challenge.
The animations for both characters were really good too. Well done.
The concept is great, and I feel like more could definitely be done with it. The controls are a bit slow, but the projectiles and traps aren't super fast, so it isn't impossible to dodge them (though a little more difficulty could've improved it). Great work overall, I'd be interested to see a more fleshed out version of this concept after the jam!
Thanks for the feedback! We felt that the bear should be a bit slow to turn and unruly to control but might have gone too far. We also tried to fine-tune the difficulty so that we would find it easy. Our plan originally was to have additional hunters for each successful run. This feature was implemented but unfortunately, we ran out of time before building and publishing it.
The art in this game is really cool! The design of the bear and the hunter are great, and the environment is well made. The idea of hunted a human as a bear is way more fun than hunting a bear as a human, so I don't know why more games don't do this. The music and sound effects could use work, but are good for 48 hours worth of time. Over, it's a very good game.
