It felt nice to have a game which just let me be creative. Not sure if  there was a way to actually get it wrong, but I got it right every time, which was nice.

Thanks for playing! I tried to make the requirements pretty easy in order to let people just jam out and be creative, like you said. As long as you followed the instructions from the characters, you were usually good.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing

Super cool idea! I wish you could go back to the start of a bar without needing to wait for it to loop, but it was a lot of fun just messing around with chords. Amazing work getting this done in the time!

I escaped the dungeon, Nice game!

Pretty cool concept. Coding up a song editor sounds like a real challenge, so nice job with that. The intro text is a bit long.

Thanks! One of the reasons I went with this idea in the first place was to take on the challenge of making the song editor, and it was neat to see it all come together. Regarding the intro text, I was aware that some people (including me) would probably want to skip it, so I took the risk of making it more drawn-out but having it be skippable by spamming the space bar. ;)

An incredibly creative and polished game! This could really be a full game if it had more levels and instruments, as well as if the level requirements get more specific.

I'm really impressed you could code this up, neato!  My song was pretty horrible, but this is a fun way to play with tabs.  It would be so nice if you made a song you like you could export it - then people could check "yes" I made the music in my gamejam :O)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I wanted to include an exporting feature (along with even more ideas for the song editor), but time constraints got me. I have yet to check out your game, but (from the name) it looks fun!

Really liked the presentation, and music related games always make me cheerful.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I love music related games too, but there seem to be so few... Luckily, making music is fun enough on its own for me. I tried to bring some of that joy to the rest of the jammers. :)

Definitely unique idea! I'm definitely not the target audience with rhythm/musical games, but it was still fun to play around!

Took me a minute to realize I could only place notes when paused. Really fun!
