I loved the framing device of the definitely-not-EA game company (FU Company, lol). All the emails were excellent. Even the description on the game page was great! The idea of an underpaid employee at the company manipulating RNG to give you exactly what you don’t want is super creative!…and frighteningly realistic, haha :(
Really impressive work for a 48 hour game jam! I loved the way you combined the 3D characters with the 2D facial expressions. Very expressive when they were angry about not getting the loot they wanted. The UI in general was very slick.
Just so you know, the game doesn’t work perfectly on a 21x9 monitor. It was perfectly playable, but the extra loot boxes were close enough to the top of the screen that the item name was off-screen. This is of course more than reasonable for a game jam, but wanted to let you know.
Dear Josef,
Thank you for informing us about the text falling off screen. However, this was an intentional design decision on our part. You can purchase the "Correct Text Rendering DLC" for $29.95 at https://fu.com/microtransactions or upgrade to FU premium to get the premium UI experience.
Best regards,
Timmy Yankee, Customer Service FU
This is very cool! I love the concept and it was surprisingly very engaging. I did find that the braking particles were a little extreme and made it hard to see, but if that was the intention it's not a bad thing. I do think it might be good to show the contents of each box before they start spinning, since it was sometimes difficult to tell which boxes I had to pay attention to with everything moving so fast. Great job overall!
Very clever idea and that's players reaction :D
Good job!
one of the best jam games i’ve played this year! the artstyle is so charming and its insane how many animations and effects you’ve managed to cram into this 2-day jam. all the emails from hr and the twist of managing multiple lootboxes at once really cracked me up. amazing job, really great game (:(:
Dear mr. Amirave,
The allegations at the address of Friendly Unicorn Inc. regarding the cracking up of players are completely groundless and utterly false. Anyone spreading such rumors will be challenged in court and subsequently prosecuted.
We thank you for playing and hope you abandon this witch hunt.
Sincerely,
Tony Beloni, Legal Team FU
Cool game... well done so much implemented... good luck with the jam :)
Interesting concept to play around! I really liked the visuals of the game. Also the whole window system you have in this looks so well organized. Also this has good level of polish with the small effects and the character reactions. Good Job!
Feel free to hop into my game as well, and share your rating and comments if you have the time!
Salute to your dedication.
Dear Joney,
Saluting is forbidden during working hours. You're fired.

I'm very sorry :(

give me another change boss!
I put a lot of effort and time into this company!!
😂
The idea has been executed incredibly well!
The difficulty was on point, although things got crazy with 3 lootboxes, haha. Also, the little details like emails and the players' reactions really make this game feel polished.
Amazing work!
Dear ex-employee,
Thank you for balancing the difficulty of the lootboxes so well during your time as lootbox operator! We understand that operating 3 lootboxes at once is a difficult task, which is why we chose to let you go and leave the lootboxes up to the employees who did not COMPLAIN about the difficulty of "operating too many lootboxes" and just DID AS THEY WERE TOLD.
We thank you for having been part of the FU family and wish you luck in your next endeavor <3

Honestly, I have nothing to say about any flaws: the game plays well, difficulty ramps-up naturally, UI is perfectly readable, the graphics work well, the story is very funny and my god the customers faces...
Excellent job to the whole team, one of my favourite games this jam! =D
Dear Exylost,
We are sorry to hear you lost the game. However, any allegations regarding "rigged" loot boxes are false and will be challenged in court. Our general advice to losing players is to "git gud" and try again! Friendly Unicorn Inc. would like to thank you for spending all your income and encourage you to come back once you've taken out a lone so you can finally get that StabCrab™!
Sincerely,
Tony Beloni, Legal Team FU
