I honestly know pretty much nothing about poker, so I was a little worried going into it that I wouldnt know whats going on, but this felt like a fun little mini game that I really did enjoy. Sorry you had to cut things to make the jam deadline, but I know how that feels. It would be cool to see what else you had planned for this. Well done!
This is a cool game! I like how you managed to turn poker into a pseudo-rhythm game. It's also fun to be able to see the real game going on in the background. With some more features, this could be an amazing game! Great work.
If you have time, I'd love it if you'd check out my submission!
Thank you for kind feedback. :) Sure I will checkout your game. ( I just did and got hooked ;-) )
It'd be cool to see some polish like seeing poker chips shift around the table, players busting out, the dealer having to quickly choose who the winner of any given hand is.. Maybe calling security on rowdy players who bust out, before they can disrupt the game.
I could see this being a fun reversal of games like Poker Night at the Inventory, where instead of enjoying the atmosphere and calmly playing Poker, you're the dealer who has to be pinpoint accurate and quick at all times.
Nice effort for a jam, I'm happy you'll be coming back to it to develop it some more.
Thanks for your feedback and the ideas for other features. The rowdy one fits especially well to the player emotions I have planed. Thanks again. :)
I like the idea of a game where you're the dealer - to double down on the poker theme, I wonder if adding a stage where you have to quickly determine the winning player (after the cards are revealed) might be interesting
Thank you for playing and your feedback. : ) You are right, the determining of the willer, would have been in the game, but I had to cut it with several other features, just to make the deadline. But after the Jam has ended, I plan to revisit, implement at least the top 3 features, and add abit of "juice".
This was a lot of fun, and I really liked the concept. I think it'd be fun to play it fleshed out as well.
I usually suck at poker but I'm glad now I can make them suck at poker ahahah! Very fun!
I’m not really familiar with poker, but I like the concept. With a more polish it would feel great though, even if you don’t know what you are doing :D would have been nice to see chips for players.
It was fun being able to play the role of the dealer. I also liked the simplicity of the game!
Nice game
A little polishing and make a very satisfying gameplay and the game will be great.
Nice idea, good job <3
Thank you for playing and your feedback! you are right, that feature (and two other) was cut due to the deadline.
Nice game! I agree with zanagi that having some text that lets you know good your deal once (and therefore your tip) would be great in addition to the animations on the cards.
Really interesting idea, congrats on the submission!
If you plan on improving the game on the future, would love to see the game highlight how the player did after each tip (e.g. showing a big "PERFECT" text).
Thank you, that would really be a great addition. I will add it to the feature list and add it after the gamejam.
Great game, and interesting concept
cool concept, the effort in making this game shows
This made me want to play real poker haha, awesome game!
It's simple but I really liked it (and nailed it)!
Best part, you can play this game even though you don't know how to play Poker. lol
Very nice! Would love to see the other mechanics you were planning to have :D
Quite interesting game! Was fun to play
Very creative concept! Impressive that you were able to create the game of poker in such a short amount of time!
