Cool idea! Though it is still ultimately about getting to the end of the level; maybe if there were adversaries trying to keep you alive that you needed to fend off or get past as well? Still, it was fun while it lasted!

I enjoyed the good solid mechanics. If you could add a few layers and make parallax scroll to the sky, that would look awesome. Also the background could be blurred a little bit so that the player and level becomes highlighted. Nice work with the game!

Feel free to hop into my game as well and share your thoughts and ratings if you have the time!

Developer

I really wanted to do the parallax scrolling, but I didn't have time :( lol.

Nice music and so neat 'shotgun-jump' mechanic.
Good job!

Really noice game, enjoyed it. Really liked the movement with the gun, the level design and the sound effects which were not irritating at all and added to the experience of the gameplay

Really fun to play, great game!

My time was 11:33. Congratulations on being the game i played the longest so far :D I felt like it was super polished movement, it felt nice. I would like to see more use of the theme "dying" is winning. Here its basically just to say the level ended... could be utilised more. but awesome gameplay! :D

Very nicely put together in such a short time! I feel like it could use some more polish, but that’s pretty difficult if you have to make everything in just 48 hours. Good job!

.

Developer

thank you for this feedback

This is a game (torture!) that really tests one's patience and precision! Those last few bounce rings, I could almost feel the malice from the game developers!hhh

Developer

Yea I think there were a few parts that were too unforgiving oops.

This is the game i have the most enjoyed so far !
The core mechanic is sssooo good, the controling moves feeling are great in the air and the concept is funny, i really liked the music ( Jojo reference ?? )
Really well done ! I finished the level in 6:49 minuts , far from perfect but i still finished it xD

Developer

TYSM glad you enjoyed it :3

That camera movement is abit to wonky for me haha, especially when the background isn't moving or anything.

But it was a fun platformer! I love "parkouring", and I think the shotgun shots are super creative!

Good job! :)

TYSM, and yea the Camera needs some work, I wanted a parallax background but I didn't have time lol.

I was quite annoyed by the character constantly bouncing off from every wall, until I started to treat the game as a movement shooter (which it is!). Then I was just slightly annoyed)

Didn't finish, but enjoyed thoroughly.

Also, nice camerawork!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, Glad you enjoyed it tho. :)

It's quite fun to play with the shotgun and the movement is really satisfying, although it's a bit infuriating when you can't get past one zone. At least for me the level is too long, i love how the game feels but it just a bit hard for me.

Maybe next time focus a bit more on level design, but you did a pretty good job with the controls and the different mechanics. So keep making awesome games!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the game :3

I enjoyed it! I didn't get very far but I enjoyed it. It took me some time to figure it out and that applied a great puzzle aspect to it.

I'd very much appreciate if you would check out my game. :)

Developer

Thank you :3

second shotgun based platformer ive played today, so much fun!! a wider camera angle might help a little bit imo, and jesus i wish i could join the vibrant speedrunning community but even with the walkthrough I still couldn't do it that fast lmao

Developer

At least you had fun lol :3

Submitted(+3)

That was so much fun. Beating it took 7 minutes, but then I saw your time of 2 minutes and immediately got sucked in and playing it for like an hour. Anyways here's the official world record run of 0:50

Developer(+1)

Bro omg, first of all TYSM. second of all Congrats bro :3, You're officially better then me

I love this rivalry, I think something like 0:40 might be the limit

Fun game! I like the rocket jump mechanic.

At first I didn't like the bounciness, but After I get to the part where the bounce is used as a mechanic I change my mind.

I do feel the game doesn't fit too much the theme of the jam, but whatever, the game is really fun.

Lots of potential

Developer

Thanks :3
