Cool idea well done!
Thanks!
The start is a bit confusing since nothing is telling you what to press, but after that little flaw, the game itself is very creative and fun to play!
I think the phe platforms would control better with the mouse rather than keys, but apart form that the game feels great to play, love the little comments from the knight ^^
Great job! =)
Thank you!
We'll try to work on the controls some more once the results are out, and maybe put in a (very short) tutorial 😉
This could work really well as a mobile game, almost as-is
Thanks!
Mobile is definitely something we're thinking about ;)
This is epic! The music and art are amazing. You have to at least get an honorable mention.
Thank you!
Lot of great games this year, so we'll see for that honorable mention ;)
The game is awesome, the idea is so original, the visuals are great and is so fun
The only problem of the game is that when you launch the game nothing say that you have to press enter but thats nothing consithering that the game is incredible
Thanks!
Yes, the start is quite abrupt, don't yet know if we like that or not :P
Ah I love what this could be but didn't quite warm up to it due to the controls and the camera system. I think it would work a lot better if the platform placement was mouse-controlled rather than wasd. The pieces move so fast that it becomes hard to place them with desired precision, especially with a fast-moving physics object that needs to hit them. The player also sometimes falls down on a far side where you can't place any pieces. The camera system makes this harder whenever the screen suddenly moves up very quickly, forcing me to readjust my positioning.
That said, I think this game has a lot of charm and I like the comments that the players make on my performance as an object placer. It certainly becomes fun for a while if you're making the character move up very fast, but the controls hold it back from generating a flow-experience that lasts. I enjoy the visual presentation overall.
Thanks for the detailed feedback!
Camera and controls are clearly something we need to work on a bit more, as you say it can stop you from getting going sometimes, and we also need to find a better way to handle the sides.
We'll try to make it all it could have been after the jam (or at least, a bit closer to that ;)
Awesome, I'll be sure to come back when you have a new version :)
i loved to exciting and easy to learn the gameplay was!
art and music are also right on topic here :)
at first is really fast, you just die instantly haha, maybe a quick and short one sentence tutorial would work here. i also think that it would be great to have a little piece of story in the beginning here. but these are just minor things, the game is very fun :)
Thanks a lot!
Yes, on the first try you tend to die fast :D
Don't really know yet if that's a good thing or not, maybe a (very short) tutorial would be better?
Great game! Gameplay wise, it's like a mix of tetris, breakout and doodle jump, but here it's brought to a whole new level! I like how platforms become smaller and new items are introduced to increase difficulty over time. Bright visuals and relentless music realy adds to the feel, and back story is fun as well! There could be more ideas, like, adding killing blocks and disabling ability to skip a block, so you have to build a level with what you have. Also at higher speed control seems too chaotic. Making control with mouse could be a nice experiment.
In any case, great game!
Thanks!
Yes, we're definitely thinking of adding some more stuff (obstacles, more 'bugs', different platforms to place), and controls need some fine-tuning (some other stuff as well :P).
The firsts steps are hard because we don't know what we are here for, and we are already dead. But once I got it, it was fun to play. Well done.
Thanks, happy you had fun!
Cool game! Pretty hard though. But still good job.
Thanks!
Making the progression a bit less steep might be a good idea ;)
wow. You make a unique, easy to understand, hard to master game. Good job!
Thank you!
Really cool idea! I had fun!
Thanks!
very cool game! I liked the difficulty curve. When placing a tile inside of the player, he often gets boosted up at high speeds, which is satisfying but kinda op. Also I got to level 56 but then placed a tile so perfectly inside of the player that it launched him upwards at such a high speed that the camera just got stuck and now I'm doftlocked as the player is nowhere to be seen. But still very fun!
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback!
The railgun mechanic definitely needs some tuning, to make it a bit less op and avoid the softlock, but we also really want to keep that satisfying feeling 😁
Pretty fun idea and nice visuals, good job! Kinda wish you could move the platforms with mouse, because it gets really finicky with small ones, but that's just a nitpick.
Thanks for playing!
Mouse controls are something we're thinking about, we'll see if we like it after the jam 😉
I really like this reversed icy castle, great job, and the animation of entering the castle is so good
Thanks!
Yes, that zoom is... something!
Doodlejump where you place the platforms - nice idea
Thanks!
hahahaha really fun game, I just realized I'm the real noob :D
Amazing idea, well implemented, controls can be improved but really good game in 48 hrs
GGs!!!
Thanks a lot!
Yep, controls need some work, glad you enjoyed it anyway :D
Damn those noobs. Still need me to make the game harder? Can't they just play some Dark Souls, get good an come back? xDDD
That was a nice entry mate! The bounciness of the knight feels really good and the tile placement mechanism is pretty self-explanatory so, it really feels nice when you catch the knight with a good angle to launch him in the sky! The slowmo feature really helps to achieve your job! The Artsyle is also on point! 🤝
Well done! 😁
Right? Why is it our job to coddle them!?! xD
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!
Fascinating game, dark art style, bounce movement, funny animations
Personally love it
Thanks!
Love accidentally building a little chamber for my guy so he bounces rapidly until he instantly flies off into the heavens never to be seen again 11/10, amazing art, music, and game design. Genuinely super fun physics and great mecahnics.
Thanks a lot!
