cool idea! i had fun playing :)
first i tried without reading the rules and thought that two cards of the same vegetable would bring me luck haha
after looking into the rules it got much easier! love the mechanics of spotting the rabbits, a bit of detective mode ^^
would love to have an in-game tutorial :)
also do i understand correctly that the only way to finish the game is "stop the harvest button"? if that is right, i would prefer to see some encouraging words there, like "good job!" or something depending on my score instead of "game over" :D
great take on the theme!
Interesting spin on a famous game with it's own rules. Really makes you use your memory, if you want to get the best score. Good job!
nice twist on the theme :) i liked how on top of just reversing the rules of this sort of game you also added a definite fail state which (at least in my experience?) is usually missing from these. it's definitely a welcome addition!
the reversed rules do make the game a little bit more luck based than the regular memory game, but it's definitely not all random
Yes it's not completely random, in fact you can always see where a new bunny is added to the board, it's just that it's missing a clear animation to give the player more feedback. But if you look closely you can see it ;)
Thanks for your feedback and for playing :)
Really satisfying! I really liked how you had to try to remember where they were to avoid matching them, it was surprisingly difficult. It may be a good idea to integrate your description into a tutorial in the game, even just as text. It would help a lot with accessibility. Good job overall!
Yes you are totally right about the tutorial, but I just had enough time to finish the main gameplay before it was the time to submit the game. Even some UI are not finalized due to the lack of time. Next time, I'll keep an eye on the time to include a tutorial page :) Thx for playing !
Cool concept and the art is cute!
I didn't pick up that the rabbits spawned differently than vegetables before I read it in your description, and I wasn't so satisfied with the fact that your score was reset when you lost. It was less of a problem when I got good at the game but I kept getting in a situation where there was literally only bunny cards on the table, and that seemed silly to me. Maybe I was wrong, but I was pretty sure and I still took the risk of guessing and I always got bunnies when I tried.
Before posting this comment, I just realized that what I can do to play forever is that when there's only bunnies and new vegetables, I can match two vegetables each with one bunny, and then match the other vegetable pair, and just repeat that every deal round, since 4 cards are dealt and 6 cards are needed to draw new cards
Fun game, well done!

Yeah you have the choice at all time to stop the harvest and this is your final score. Or you can take the risk of keep playing and risking to lose everything if you find two bunnies. It needs a little bit of tweacking here and there to make the gameplay more robust and I had to keep everything simple due to the lack of time. Thx for your feebdacks and for playing :)
Nice concept! The artworks is great too (someone could easely use the card pictures to make a boardgame with vegetables!)
Yes a couple of person mentionned that it could be a really nice boardgame with the little bit of tweacking here and there. Thx for playing :)
A memory-testing game, I really like the card drawings!
Thx, I spend a lot of time on the card designs, especially on the back ^^. Thx for playing !
I like this idea! I think you could change something to change the full RNG feeling of taking pairs (right now is something like "you choose two cards and you get points or not", maybe change it so cards don't disappear if you get 0 points)
Also i would explore the bunny idea some more, like make them change with another card at the end of the turn and making an animation to show it, but without showing what cards they are so you need to rearrange it in your mind
Just some ideas that i had in mind, don't worry about it
The mecanics of reducing the RNG are there, but it lacks of visual feedbacks for the player to have a clear view of what's happening I think. For example, there is only one bunny at the start of the game so you have zero chance of loosing at first. Then, when another bunny is added but clicking on two of the same vegetables, you can see the bunny card joining the board, but you have to keep an eye on it since it's really fast ^^. This is where some aninmations and feedbacks are missing.
And yes, your idea is really nice about moving cards. I got the same ideas but I had to reduce the scope of the game in order to finish it. I also as thinking about a farmer card that will interact with the bunnies (by removing it maybe) and the vegetables (by creating new ones maybe). But again, no enough time ^^. Thx for your feedback and for playing my game :)
Oh what a neat game! Really well put together. I play a lot of small games like tetris, sudoku, solitaire, etc. and this fits just the bill for these kind of games. The music and art direction, how the cards moved, it all went very well together. A lot of these games ramp up difficulty too quickly, but the tempo here was good and balanced.
I tried to keep it simple and make it playable with only the mouse. I find it difficult to create a short game with a lot of controls during game jam since you often don't have the time to implement controls customization. A lots of game are using "qwerty" configurations which is not ideal for "azerty" users like me :D.
I'm so glad that you liked the game. I had the idea to implement a "farmer" card to generate crops and maybe remove some bunnies but I had to keep it simple in order to finish the game in time ^^. Thx for playing !
Yeah I think keeping it mouse only for this kind of game was a good move. The farmer card sounds cool, but how the cards stacked automatically wasn't bad either. Some complexity adds interesting depth, and sometimes it just adds more hassle. Would be interesting to see the farmer card though. Could have been an interesting next step!
Really nice and cute game ! Brings me back to my childhood ;)
I really found the mechanics interesting and had quite some fun ! Also the art is very nice looking and the game well polished very nice job !
Thx for you feedback, it's really nice to hear :) I'm glad that you enjoyed playing. I spend lots of time polishing the art for the card and I could finish the UI design as I wanted ^^ Thx again !
A creative idea, I like that. I don't agree with Itooh that the game is pure luck. You have to spot the rabbits and remember where they are to avoid them. Since there is only one rabbit at the beginning and you can spot all the other rabbits when being dealt and thus avoid getting two in one turn. You can collect vegetable instead. I got a score over 100 this way. Cleverly done. I am glad I didn't have to play it against my children, the would beat my blue and black like in real memory as well.
Yes, exactly ! This is exactly how the game works !! I'm so happy ! \o/
If I had more time I would make a different animation to understand where the new bunnies are added to the board. But 48h is a really short amount of time :D. Thx for your feedbacks and for playing my game, even without your kids :p
Very clever twist on the memory card game! I like how it's tied to a narrative, you understand quite quickly why you don't want to see a bunny in your harvest. Inteestingly, this couls also be transcribed into a physical card game!
However, I feel like it lacks a little something to the design. Since the cards disapear when we flip them, we cannot use memory for most of them, and thus the game just becomes a game of pure luck. Even remembering the bunny position has little benefit, since you're not immune to finding a new one. There might be a rule missing to prevent it to be only a chance game.
But once again, the core concept is full of charm and potential. Overall I was delightfully surprised by the idea, and did several games to try to beat my score. Good job!
Thanks for you feedback and for playing my game.
Yes you are right, since the cards disapears if they are not the same (except for the bunnies that stay always in place) and the memory part for the vegetables probably needs something else in their design. But for the bunnies, there is only one present on the board when the game start. And only when you find two of the same vegetables, another bunny is added to the board. I didn't have enough time to animate it, but you can see a card appears on the board when it's the case and this is the bunny card. So you always can remember the place of all the bunnies but the first one that is hidden by default somewhere ^^. I think with an animation that is different from the other card, adding a bunny is the thing that is missing to have a clearer design. I also was thinking about adding a "farmer" card to avoid having vegetables created every 3 turns. But I had to keep the gameplay simple in order to finish the game dev ^^.
FIY : my girlfriend really loved your game and spend multiple games on it !! Really nice work ^^ !
Solid foundation, great interface and look. Took me a few fails to get what was going on. Is there a win state? I kept losing to the bunnies eventually. Would have been nice to see what the best I did was. Great job!
Yes there is a win state. You have a button on top to "stop the harvest". Basicaly you can play as much as you want, but you are taking the risk to lose everything if you have two bunnies at the same time. It's a matter of memory + risk ^^. To be honest, I didn't have the time to implement the button like I should have. It's a little unclear for some players. But thanks for your feedback and for playing my game :)
What a nice game! I love the art on this and music you picked is really good. Interesting spin on the original game makes the gameplay so much more than just memorizing cards
Good solid game. Art style and music was fun and matched for me. Card animations being fast and snappy is really good to keep playing quickly.
Nice presentation and really clever gameplay! The set of rules seemed strange when I first read it, but it makes totally sense when playing the game. The start of each game just seems a little bit too random to me, but that's quickly fixed when you progress in your run.
Hey :D ! Thx for your feedback ! I think it's still missing elements to tell the player where the new bunnies are displayed because it can be confusing when it's trigger with the new vegetables. I though about having another card with a farmer on it that will create more vegetables but I had to keep the game simple to be able to (almost) finish it :D ! Thx for playing !
Really nice art and a fun gameplay! The music was choosen very good it's calming and it vibes wih the game!
Great game!
Thx ! I did all the art (even if I coulnd't finish in time for some UI xD). For the music, I just used one premade, I was focus on a fun but calming vibe as you mentionned. Thx for playing :)
Nice art and nice gameplay Idea ! Good expérience :)
Thx, it took so much time but I'm quite happy with the result ! Thx for your feedback and for playing my game :)
Nice little game ! Graphics is cute and music so relaxing . Good job !
Love the art & design of this game, the music is also a nice relaxing touch, the concept is very simple and easy to understand and relatively fun to play, would love to see you explore the game further and expand upon it with new mechanics!
The concept of a reverse matchmaking game is a great interpretation of the theme :)
I had some other ideas to add into the game like the fact that you can see more precisely where the bunny is placed. And maybe a card "farmer" that will generate more vegetables but I had to keep it simple in order to finish the game in time. I think with more time, it could be a potential fun game to play on mobile. Thx for your feedback and for playing :)
