This was very unique, with such a simple core, yet really fun to play! Very polished in every aspect. Loved it!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed playing my game :)
This feels really polished and I had a good time with it overall. My final score was 2220, though I'm not sure if that's good or bad. A lot of the time the game just felt like random chance, since you only get three objects at once and they're usually not the ones you need, forcing you to waste some an archaeologist's energy. The core of the gameplay is quite good, though, and I can see this being a lot of fun if worked on a little more! Nice work.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed the game and thank you for your feedback!
I will definitely work more on the randomness aspect and give the player more ways to control it, so it doesn't feel unfairly random.
I liked the concept, and it's a kind of game that manages to be calm but still offer some sense of objective, and I think it's quite challenging to do that. I guess my only "complaint" would be to have some way to force some of the items the characters want (maybe some sort of special), because I kept feeling I was out of luck with them, but it could be me not being strategic enough. Great work :)
Thank you so much for the feedback and for playing the game! Glad you enjoyed it. I'll think about some ways to tame the randomness of the game and give players a bit more control. I already have a couple of ideas and implement them in the next build of the game :)
Really cool submission that has more depth than it seemed to at first. The graphics and music are top notch. I could actually see myself coming back and playing this after the voting period if there was some sort of goal other than a new high score. Fantastic submission to the jam.
Also, I noticed in one of your replies you mentioned that being able to put two artifacts in the same row at the same time is a bug, but I think that it actually has pretty cool implications as a feature. Near the end of the game, when you have only a couple of rows open, you can put junk items that don't match color or type at the far end of the row and quickly drain your savings to cycle your available artifacts until you find one that matches. It essentially gives an optional time limit as those archeologists will eventually get to the artifacts and run out of energy for little in the way of points if you're not fast enough.
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I am genuinely amazed how much depth people find in my game, even things I never considered myself. Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, and I think I understood the other comment incorrectly. I thought they were able to put two artifacts of the same type in one row, which you can not do (you can't put items of the same color in one row either). But if the items are different in type and color − then you can. I probably worded the tutorial badly and it was not really clear, I'll fix that :)
I really enjoyed it! Played it a few times to get an high as possible score, managed to reach 2740 :) I don't know how, but I managed to put 2 artifacts in 1 row at the same time once. Was quite surprised when that happened.
Thank you so much for playing my game, glad you enjoyed it! And thank you for finding that interesting bug, I'll look into it :)
Very unique concept! and the whole experience felt very polished and complete. My only feedback would be to have the store icons on the top or bottom area instead of the right hand area. I felt like I did many miles of eye movement going from right to left and it ended up being a bit uncomfortable.
I also liked the tutorial, felt very clean and to the point. That's always appreciated!
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!
I definitely agree that the UI needs to be more compact for this type of game. I think I just need to move all the left icons to the right side, where the energy bars are located. That way all the important things should be in one tight place on the screen. And maybe shrink the lanes at least in half, because, to be fair, there is literally no point in having them that long :D
Thank you again for the feeedback, it gave me a lot of ideas!
This was really fun! Nice graphics, cool concept!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Fun game! Great art and pretty relaxing to play. I just wish there was some kind of leaderboard or even score benchmarks to shoot for. I got 3260 but I don't know how that stacks up.
Thank you so much for playing!
I totally agree that it needs some sort leaderboard or maybe even a ranking system, where, let's say, 3000 points get you an S rank, or something like that. I'll definitely think about this, thank you for the idea!
This game is incredible! I love the music and the art and the game mechanic was something I had never seen. The game is fun and I was literally praying so I would get the item I wanted at the end of the game. It was clear how to play even without reading the tutorial much. btw I got a score of 2600. Good job making this game in just 48h :D
Thank you so much for your nice comment! Glad you enjoyed the game as much as I enjoyed making it :)
This is so much more fun than it should be. It's easy to play but has a surprising amount of strategical depth where giving the archeologists what they want isn't always the best choice. Well done!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the game! :)
Ok, based on the screenshots and the game's page I thought this will be just a barely functional game, but oh boy, how wrong was I?
I actually really enjoyed this game. The UI/UX is very straightforward, the Tutorial very polished and pleasing to actually go through and the gameplay is super easy.
It's not hard (very casual - which I personally like) and pretty cool. Nice! :)
- It reminds of plants vs zombies a bit.
Try to pimp up your game's page a little bit next time.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to write the comment! Glad you enjoyed my game and thank you for the advice on the game page. I also agree that the game itself is not very presentable by itself, so I'll definitely keep that in mind in the future and work on that bit more.
You can still change it and tweak it however you want :)
