Pretty neat game!
I'm not too sure if 1 and 2 were the best keys for using abilities though. It was also a little difficult to judge the range on the Claw ability.
For the most part, flying away, even over the lava pretty much makes you invincible too, so it'd be cool to see other types of units. Maybe archers, or even magic casters/healers/supports for the regular soldiers!
Thanks for your submission!
Thanks for the feedback! Casters were actually my plan as well, but due to time constrains I had to leave them out.
I like the concept, and I can imagine it working pretty well on VR. I'd just recommend adjusting the mouse movement, because it got me a little disoriented for a while, and maybe see if you can or switch the sword effect to work with stereo or have an indicator on where the attack came from, as after a while you may not know from where you're being attacked and it got a little frustating to me. Overall, good entry :)
Cool game and super interesting concept!
I think that "1" and "2" are kind of a weird choice for attacks, maybe something like Shift and E or F would have been more intuitive. And the slash attack was kind of difficult to connect and also super weak when you did!
But other than that, i had fun playing. Congratulations :)
playing as the dragon is really fun! also really appreciate the inclusion of a settings menu, im glad you made the time for it
Very cool and fun game! Managed to defeat 271 heroes :) Here's some things I noticed while playing:
Maybe having some sort of barely visibleradius underneath the player on the ground would help a bit. You know like in strategy games (or in MOBAs, I guess) when you use an ability it shows you the range or radius of it? Something similar could work here as well.Actually, scratch that. I think it just needs a tiny additional feedback when you hit an enemy, either sound or maybe particle effect. Which gets us to my next point ↓Well, that was a lot xD Overall I enjoyed this game. It fits the theme, it's fun, engaging and does it's job very well. Congrats on making fun game in such short period of time!
Thanks for the feedback! It's quite a lot of great feedback :)
I will give some insight where I can:
I am proud on how many heroes people defeat! I might found an "abuse" where you take almost no damage for a long time, which resulted me in defeating over 1k heroes(I am still thinking on how to fix it). When I did it without the abuse I think it's almost impossible around 450-500.
I want to thank you again for this amazing feedback!
You are welcome! Making a fun game in short period of time AND in 3D (which adds another layer of complexity on top of everything) is really hard and I hope you can make it even more fun in the future!
Fun game! I'm surprised how many names you managed to come up with, seemed like an endless supply of brave heroes all getting slain. I did notice that the cursor didn't seem centred though, it kept drifting to the bottom left, not sure if that was just me though.
Thanks for the feedback!
My friend also told me something about drifting to one side, I am not sure if something triggers it which only happens to a few people.
Do you have a controller connected by any chance? I am trying to fix as many things as possible this week to update it bug free after the jam :)
Thanks in advance!
Hey, I have defeated 257 heroes. Nice game. I like the style and music. The sfx was a little annoying. Also mouse sensitivity even in the lowest value was too much for me. The first part of the game was a little slowm but with more powerful red heroes it became more challenging. Good job!
That's quite a lot! Is there any specific SFX you would consider annoying? Or is it the SFX in general? I did add the slider specificly so ppl can turn anything off they dislike :)
I can try to make the mouse sensitivity lower, altho it is already close to 0 on the lowest(will still change it and upload it sunday^^).
Thanks for the great feedback! I will look into a solution for the slower first part, which I completly agree on.
I think it's the dragon roar sound. Maybe it's just a bug, but it stuck in the loop and just never finished. Great that you added settings menu, it helps me to overcome this issue
It might be the dragon breath which should fix itself when you breath for just a milisecond. If we mean the same it could be because of something at the start or something with switching tabs/go to the settingsmenu.
Otherwise you did encounter something I am unaware of.
Great work! Really did give me all the powers I would want if I were to play a dragon. Love all the randomized hero names over their heads
Loving the soundtrack:)
really cool game! no errors bugs or anything!
I really dig the dragon, feels like the good old Onyxia times but now being the dragon. Looks great and is really fun.
I actually was thinking about adding eggs and mages in the beginning! This was the feel I was aiming :)
Thanks for the feedback!
I love the idea of playing as a dragon in first person! I don't think I've ever seen that before. Great work on the slashing/healing/fire/flight mechanics. It all fits together well and I had fun playing!
Glad to hear that, thanks for the feedback!
I appreciate having a settings menu in GameJam games! And the detail of the heroes having names was fun.
I always like to give people some options for QoL, even in such short timeframes.
Thanks for the feedback!
