Nice gamemechanics with a cute art direction, well done!

You shouldn't put a quit button in a web version.
That is about the only critique I have. Well done.

Developer(+1)

That is... a very good point, old habits die hard i guess? Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Good work! Great art and concept, I liked slowly figuring out the traps as time went on. The only one I had a problem with would have been the very final fire trap, as it made me feel forced to lose my first time upon seeing it (as I didn't know about it beforehand). Other than that, great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the last one feels very cheap, i just left it like that because the game is pretty small already, but it's great to know that you didn't like that and also the reason, it helps a lot!

Pretty cool, but lacks polish.

nice idea! took me a while to understand how to disarm some of the traps, but that was part of the fun!

Developer

I wanted it not to be 100% obvious, but being a jam game I didn't want it to be terribly difficult as well.  Thanks a lot for the comment!

Really nice characters and concept! I did get a bit frustrated trying to understand how to disarm some traps, but thankfully the speed up button is there.

Developer

Thanks! Our artist worked really hard, we're super proud of how it looked!

Loved the concept!

Developer

Thanks!

I love the concept and the design of the two characters!! My first instinct was also to try to kill the witch though, haha. I did also get confused with how to interact at first. Might have been better with space as interact and shift as fast-forward? But nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Keybindings are always a point of contention, we wanted to let you choose which button layout you wanted but didn't have time to get that working unfortunately. Thanks for the feedback, hope you enjoyed it!

Lots of the games submitted have a similar concept but this one was one of the more straightfoward implementations of that idea so props to that. That being said, the game lacks feedback, and there are some minor bugs (ex. the character is drawn under the bridge), but things like objects turning blue when possessed are done well. Good job 👍

Developer

Yeah, that bug was super annoying, probably just a sorting layer problem, it wasn't happening in the editor, and when we caught it on the built version the submissions were closed already xD Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback, means a lot!

Very fun game! The concept is good and I like how it's executed here. The speed-up button for the witch is a good touch too. My only criticism would be that I wish the ground buttons had more feedback or indication as to what they do or what they interact with, I didn't realize they were buttons or what they did until reading some comments (although that could just be me, it seems other people understood it fine).

Also, the art is very nice :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! That is important feedback, I'll try and find ways to communicate better what the mechanic was supposed to be inside the game itself in future oportunities. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great game, I had lots of fun! It took me a while to get how to pass the final part, but the a-ha moment was worth it.

A minor nit would be to use only the keyboard since you have to walk the soul to the object you want to move, sometimes I got confused on pressing spacebar vs clicking.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the feedback as well!

I loved the concept, the witch was and character design was really good, although the art direction seems to be inconsistent, the puzzle game play was still fun!

Oh also we spent the first minute or so of the game trying to move spikes in the way of the witch, I don't know if that says more about us or your game design tho lol XD. Any ways I know it can be tough to add tutorials during the jam timeline so we get it :D.

How do you beat the game? We got the witch all the way to the last fire thingy and then got stuck, any tips?

~.~

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! The last fire thing, much like the first, also has a button to disable it, but I was feeling mischievous and hid the button that deactivates it in a different part of the map, it not very close to that fire at all :p  Thanks for the kind words, glad you had fun with it!
