Ah sorry for the tag, I just thought it was made for GMTK 7 (while you explicitly wrote "Made for Ludum Dare 53" ^^)

Thanks a lot! I'm working on it right now :D
If you want to see the updates, maybe it's possible to follow the game on itch.io? Or if not, my profile?
I'm thinking about joining the "post-jam" event also ( https://itch.io/jam/post-jam-jam-7 )
Nice idea! I think the base for the game has strong core features, it just needs some iterations to make it shine.
As it was hard to make right decisions in time, I used a hacky strategy to reach the tower => put two tiles that make the character go back and forth, and then draw a path until the tower. and when my path is done, I replace one tile of the loop by another tile that makes the character continue ^^ What would you think of waiting the player for making a choice before moving the character?
Thanks for playing! Yes the game needs better instructions. The pages can give you some hints, and the "supposed" goal was to find a way to get a crystal and put it on the central slot.
Among the possible interactions, you can:
- drop objects on your hat or your character (with different effects)
- combine two objects (wood branch + rock) to spawn a tool
- use the tool to break big rocks
Thanks a lot, I may go further with the concept!
Too bad for the crystal slot, it's a bug and that's the second time I hear about it :(
The lake was supposed to give you drops of water to give you some stamina, as the fruits do. Stamina is only changing your move speed. It was there o you have to choose between giving something to your character or your hat ^^
I'm thinking about changing "health" by age as it's only a timer (at start I thought we could delay it with water or fruits but...).
Ah! My finger! ^^ That was a funny short game.
When I started playing on Firefox, the ingame screen remains white and everything works fine (all the components working). Maybe something broken? But on Chrome I had no problem.
I found a way to make it easier by using my laptop's trackpad click + mouse left click :p
I love the up & down scale idle of the hero 😂
The game was quite challenging but fair, with many interesting strategies.
The music is well chosen also!
Maybe you spotted this bug already, but when dropping a card on the bottom border of the map, the card disappears and the character does not appear. By some dark magic however, I don't get blocked as I manage to make it appear anyway ^^
Wow, it becomes especially hard with time, but manageable! Great game though.
I was surprised to see my dog become a wolf, but it spices the experience so why not!
Also it was a bit hard to understand how sheeps actually died, as they progressively turned to black without really having touched the wolf
Funny idea to have guns holding knifes and knifes holding guns! The game's visuals are neat and polished, great job on that!
I tried both gameplays, and while having a gun is overkill, it's nearly impossible to win when being with a knife against guns, isn't it?
Also I had infinite ammos, not sure if it was intended (maybe having to switch to get some ammos could be interesting?).
Found some bugs:
- I died killed by a knife, then the hit sound played in loop infinitely
- Sometimes when holding a gun, it stops working for a few seconds for no apparent reason, and then it works again
Thanks for your comments!
The interactions you suggest are in the game, but I did not have the time to put the instructions in the game, only on the page :/
Like:
- putting rocks and fruits on your hat, which make spawn the same object in a bigger version.
- combining rock and wood to make tools.
- you can actually control 2 characters at the same time.
Here are the controls:
- Right click to control the camera
- Middle click to zoom in and out (this way you can switch between the 2 alive characters)
- Left click to interact (take objects, combine them when it's possible, use them on your character, use them on your hat)
- WASD for move
It was a bit ambitious and experimental for a solo dev, so I could not find enough time to present it well, sorry for that!
Those clients are harsh ^^ But the game is quite nice! That's the life of a taverner: being very busy while people are chilling
Loved the game's art and music (even if you didn't make it, you made a great selection!)
I think I got a bug sometimes where charactes would ask for some food/beer, I would give them what they wanted and had a negative feedback :/ I'm 100% sure the icon were still there when I gave them the item...
