Good idea, although I feel some better cues on your attacks could make it easier to understand; the only attack that worked best for me was the fourth one.
Oh s*** I killed all of them! Hope I was a good boss (I fleed a lot so they had to run behind me ^^)
Loved sounds, especially the "waaah!" of the aggro!
Great game! Really good idea too. I think a victory and title screen and maybe some music would improve it, but overall, I liked it.
Also, really uploaded it at the last second there lol.
Thank you! I'll definitely make those when I have the time.
And yeah, it was pretty scary lmao
That was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed watching all the little "players" running around, trying their hardest.
Controls felt a little funky, but I respect the emulation of mmorpg style attack bindings and cooldowns and all.
It would've been nice if the game were a little more challenging imo - I sense there was a lot more depth in the AI and all than I ever realised, because I won just by buttonmashing. Still, the core idea is a lot of fun, and all the little players with their different classes and colours felt very characterful!
Thank you!
I originally planned the game to be more challenging, but realised that I couldn't implement the variety that would warrant the challenge in time, so I made it easier. Glad that you enjoyed it still!
Extremely interesting and beautiful gameplay! Controls feel a bit weird though, but that did not bother me so much.
This is a very fun concept! As it currently stands its a bit too easy, but fun nonetheless
I was afraid of making it tedious to play, so I had to compromise a bit by nerfing the enemies, glad you liked it!
A bit janky, and it wasn't really clear at first what you're supposed to do, since you just get thrown into the game without any explanation. Although I'm still not 100% sure what half of the attacks do.
The idea of the game is fun, and you did a great job!
I had to rush the development due to feature creep at the start, so yeah it's a bit janky :D
Glad you still liked it!
Glad you managed to barely make that deadline :)
Interesting game and I can see how the scope of this rapidly balloons, with all the different ai behaviors, but they all worked really well during the game.
The aoe slash wasn't very clear on what it did, but other then that I really like the abilities
Yeah, it was quite scary honestly :D
The scope did balloon from the start, I actually only started making the boss on the second day, the first day was mostly focused on making the ai. The aoe slash just damages everyone close to you, should have probably made it a bit bigger. Really glad you liked it!
Such a cool take on the game jam theme! Well done!!! ;D
Thank you!
Love it! The idea is great and the game is fun! The dynamic is exactly like in a MMO game. I really enjoy chasing those healers :D
Good job!
Fun game. I love how you gave each player roles and how they get out of the way when the boss makes a charge attack.
Thank you for playing! :D
Our time also tackled the idea of making a boss vs. hero game (instead of hero vs. boss) but didn't do it in the end because we couldn't imagine how to implement a player-like AI. What you did worked very well and you even implemented different hero classes with different behavior. Great job on that!
What I missed the most was a bit more feedback on when I actually hit an enemy. Especially for the basic attack it was very difficult to know wether it's a hit or miss.
I like how the mashing the spacebar prevents the player from just spamming attacks, and that you even gave roles to the ai, making medics capable of reviving their allies
Thanks! I took inspiration from my own experience playing raids in mmos, so giving the ai different roles and abilities was very important to me. I also wanted to add the taunt mechanic and being able to mash your way out of it seemed like a good balance of giving the tanks the ability to protect the team while not fully taking control away from the player. Really glad that you liked it!
Really smart idea, loved killing everyone and using the different abilites, good job! really fun game!
Thank you! Really glad you liked it!
Raid Night did not go well for them
