Cool concept! I will say though that after my 3rd scale up I got stuck in a situation where no guns ended up spawning and the aliens slowly shot me to death.

Developer

Thank you! Indeed 4th wave is a bit different, where you couldn't shoot aliens, this asteroids which you get is actually a shields, and you need to cover your planet with them.

You still can rotate planet with small amount of shields to consume bullets (basically when bullet hit asteroid with shield it deals no damage), so the idea is to collect enough asteroids to cover the surface and absorb them just after that, it will be enough to progress to a next level

Nice shooting sounds. The mechanic is actually good to play after I know how to attach the gun and pew pew around. Lost my guns by a few misdirections but I think the long red HP bar made the game still enjoyable enough that I didn't die right at that time. Enjoyed my experience so far with this arcade-like game. :)

The game was hard, but very fun to play. I couldn't quite control the speed of the rotation, it felt a little bit more sensitive than I expected. Also, the projectiles were very tiny, I would make that a progression element, so u can aim more accurately as the game progresses. I died very fast so, I don't know what may happen if you grow enough, but it an interesting concept and the music was on point,  very atmospheric.

The game was harder than I thought it would be! Felt overwhelmed quite quickly. Maybe a slower ramp up could help ease the player into the mechanics and get used to the aiming?

Also not sure about the functionality of the absorbing (when it makes sense to use, what the consequences are besides increasing the difficulty).

But I do like the concept and the asteroids like gameplay works well!

A really cool idea with some nice hard choices for the player (R is necessary but also takes on a big risk as you lose your guns). I like that you can choose how to position the guns, and you can accidentally blow up gun asteroids, adding a "don't shoot the civilians" aspect.

I didn't really get a sense of the game fitting the theme of "scale" - hitting R didn't feel like I was growing bigger, it just filled up a blue bar. I'd like to see the growing actually adding slots for more guns and asteroids, but also making you a bigger target. (If that is in the game, it wasn't really noticeable.)

Also some animations to show what R is doing would help - initially I was confused what R was doing and thought it was just restarting the game.

Thank you for your feedback!

Planet growing not after pressing R button, but once the blue bar at the bottom right of the screen filled in full, this will trigger a new level, scale of the planet and animation of growing, which will defo bring more space for guns, and make planet more vulnerable for enemy attacks, since you would have to cover more space

Cool game, and neat concept! I never figured out what the red ships did because I had so much fun collecting the asteroids and shooting them down!

Cool concept! I like that you have to sacrifice your guns when you absorb the asteroids. It forces the player to time it well. Good job!

the game is very hard.

I rated your game.

Super cool idea and a fun execution of it, I have a real soft spot for games where you build your ship on the fly

God idea for a gamejam! This remind me as a spacewar, but you get bigger and bigger.  Good game!
