I didn’t use any flying machines, but I don’t think any of those were intended solutions lol
10/10 game
Such a super cool concept! The visual style is simple but really distinctive. The main mechanic of drawing things and dragging them around to be used in other areas is just so great. I feel like the player's speed could be increased, felt like it was a bit slow. Other than that, fantastic work! :D
Cool idea, and wonderful style! I can see the PICO-8 inspiration! :)
I have to say sometimes the puzzles feel too hard, mainly because dragging them around occasionally had issues. That said, they were also cheesable with the Breath of the Wild strat, but I don't mind, it was fun breaking the game x)
Congrats on the submission :)
Cool concept! I felt frustrated a lot of the time, though. The jumping feels inconsistent, and I spent most of my time fighting the physics, trying to place things where I want them, rather than trying out designs. It seems like the block sometimes snap together, but I had trouble getting it to work consistently. But good job on the level design, I had several satisfying "ah-ha!" moments.
breath of the wild flying machine is naturally the most scalable solution :D
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who did this x)
Also, spamming the print button clips weird shapes, making it one platform you can easily move around.
Great concept and very polished, I do think the mechanics were a little clunky though, but it is difficult to deal with rigidbody physics! Overall, great entry :)
genuinely such a cool game! i love the puzzle aspect and drawing things is so unique. loved the tutorial of the first part too, really guided me thru to understand the mechanics off the get.
Love the mechanics and the level design -- very well implemented. As other people have noted, the text font could be a bit larger but the text itself was so fun to read. Well done!
This is a very stylish game for a game jam, especially for a solo submission! The execution of the “build things to solve puzzles” concept was done very well, and the creative spin you put on the challenges in the later levels was great too :)
I could definitely see this being developed into a full game!
Woah this is super polished! Fantastic ideas that come together really well. I didn't finish it this playthrough but definitely going to come back to it! Only feedback right now is the text could be a little bit bigger, it was kind of hard to read. Great game :))
Thanks for checking my game out! Looking back, the text is way too small, but it's good to realize that on a small game than a larger project. If you do come back for another playthrough there may or may not be a secret level select hidden in the tutorial area... ; )
Great game concept! I tried picking up a block while I was standing on it and it didn't work. Tried to cheat a lil'
Glad you enjoyed it, I didn't want player to cheat too much, although somehow one of my friends did beat the whole game with just a 2x2 block.
Beat the game! I may have used exploits for a level or two...
But overall, very fun, with a unique mechanic that was used well.
Didn't play until the end, but the concept of the blue area is very fun. I could totally see a game based around that. Great job for your first published game!
I definitely feel that the blue area was the strongest part of the game, but I also wanted some other levels in the game as well. Thanks for playing!
Yep, although I found the green part frustrating and not as fun, but I don't know about the other areas.
I beat a lot of levels by just using an I-beam ( |----| )
Yeah, the first 3 levels are meant to be easy, maybe a bit too much, but the later levels are a lot harder to cheese. I hope you still had fun playing though!
