Endless growth for the win.
Man this has some good art and theming! I enjoyed the idea of having to balance the tower out, but I think it could've used more "physicy" blocks or quicker sliding. Also, the idea of the random events changing the tower is A+
I was missing some ambiance/music to pull me in a bit more ^^ I think it would add a lot of game feel.
Got up to 85K tho.
Nice idea. Love the artstyle and that the hole game is playable with only a mouse. Awesome work!
Very cool! I got lucky and had a person have like a bunch of kids and roommates at the very bottom, so once my tower started tilting I pushed it back a forth until I won! I hope you add a higher difficulty, it will be fun to see what this game offers in the future, I will definitely be putting this in a collection.
Very cool and distinctive art style, and the music choice adds a soothing atmosphere to the game. I would also like to comment on the great idea of adding names and little bits of story to why the building keeps growing. It really immerses you in the experience, and you sort of build a funny stor(e)y about why the building collapsed. It was a great addition to the gameplay.
For example, things have started going downhill for me because Steve kept wanting to add more pools! I almost reached 100K profits, and then Steve added one more pool...The rest is history.
The gameplay also suits the game quite nicely, and I found moving the blocks very intuitive.
Congrats on the game! It was a fun experience and a fun story!
EDIT: I sometimes pressed on the Pause button by accident, when the building blocks reached that height :)
Thank you for playing our game and for your thoughtful comments!
We got the feedback about the pause button from others too, it’s definitely something to note in the future. Thanks!
The game looks great! Although I feel like I can go on for a while without doing anything due it feeling like size changes not affecting where the building tilts (I left the game running for a while, even though the new floors got out of the visible area the building did not budge at all), its very charming
Thank you for playing! Yeah, the difficulty could be adjusted a little since it’s a bit inconsistent now.
Pretty fun! Just when I thought my tower was safe everything came crashing down. Good metaphor for the crushing weight of trying to keep things balanced under capitalism lol
Thank you for playing our game :)
Very clever idea and the game looks very good! The gameplay looked simple at first but then my building started to tilt and i was franticly trying to keep it balanced
Thank you for playing!
I found a kinda loophole as well as a bug I just thought I'd share. If the tower is tilted at the bottom it significantly reduces the amount of effort needed to keep the building upright (until the bottom piece grows!) and some of the boxes aren't appearing as they are attached to the building as you can see; bugs aside I think the game is really fun and well polished!
Thank you for kind feedback! We noticed that bug late in testing too but it was too late to fix it!
nice base idea, as well as presentation ! The physics is a bit weird which makes it hard to master, but once you get how it works it’s managable :)
Thank you for playing :)
I really like the art and music. The game has funny concept but I wouldn't mmind if it was a bit more difficult to balance the building. Nevertheless I really enjoyed it. Well done
Thank you!
Well I've finished the game, it's not hard if you're careful. But it's pretty fun, would be cool if the expansion came faster and faster. Also when moving pieces at the top of the tower, it hits the coffee break button which is anoying.
Thanks for playing our game and giving feedback!
Great submission! A simple loop that was entertaining. I was a little confused at first because I thought that I was supposed to place the individual cubes, but I caught on within 30 seconds or so. I'm not sure if that could have been fixed by a tutorial slide/sentence, or if that's just my unfamiliarity with the genre. All of that said, the art style, and theming was incredible! Great work
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
aaaaaaaaaaa this is such a silly and fun game. i love the stylized graphics so much and the tower building was very fun.
Thank you for playing :)
Very unique gameplay! All the other tower stacking games I've played in the jam so far are tetris-likes, so this game was a breath of fresh air. I think it could benefit from a slightly higher difficulty, and a lot more feedback on interactions. In my head I kept imagining all the residents going "woooahhh woahhhh" as the tower rocked back and forth. Overall the game was very memorable, and I hope to see more from this team in future jams!
Thank you for the kind words :) We did get quite a bit of feedback on the difficulty too, so we’ll keep it in mind if we make more. Thanks!
Neat game! I really like these stacking games. The robot guy was cool too, I love robots! Art style was very cute, I love how everything looks hand drawn. Amazing job!
Thank you for playing :) Everything was hand drawn by our fantastic artist!
If I had one remark I'd say I would have loved to have some antialiasing, especially on a game so focused on straight lines slightly rotating.
Despite that, the game is well-rounded, plays well, and the art and general corporate mood are nice!
Congratulations :)
Thank you :)
Fun game, I thought it was quite easy until you messed up once and it then became pretty impossible. I'd say the condition for losing was a bit too harsh. I like, totally could've brought that building back. And even if i couldn't, let me see it fall ! and then tell me I suck.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
It was very fun balancing this building! Great capitalist metaphor, and great title :) Nice job!
Thank you!
