Concept is neat! the walljumping feels a bit off sometimes but other then that good game!
Wall jumping was implemented in the easiest way I could as a time saver but even after getting used to it I knew it wasn't great .
Thanks for playing it and giving feedback!
Is there a solution for the first "hard" level? I got stuck on it twice because I couldn't figure it out. My suggestion would be to introduce the mechanics gradually, because I couldn't really understand how to play.
But the concept is really neat and everything else felt good. Solid overall!
All the levels were originally meant to be played in order but a relatively last minute change in idea meant that they were played out of order. If I had more time I definitely would've made some tutorial level that you're forced to play when starting but for now it's just a how to play screen and control screen.
I can assure you that all levels are possible!
Cool game! I played 3 hard levels and 1 "easy" level and I had no issues with the hard levels, but I couldn't finish the easy one. I had to jump as a small bird but I couldn't reach the other side 😂. Very interesting level design overall!
Thanks for the feedback. For that level you'd have had to of used the air dash that the little birb can do. I probably should've made that more clear tho!
Cute birb and great concept! The movement for the tiny bird was a little slippery, but apart from that it felt very tight.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great job putting it all together. There was a good variety of puzzles though I forgot what weights I had picked for the first couple of runs and ended up guessing 100g off my final estimate lol.
The guessing weights was intentional so that you would have to try to mentally keep track of what you had whilst also doing a puzzle. Although I do think an easy mode where you could see your weight might have been worth adding
A very fun game! I liked the idea to connect difficulty with the different weights.
The difficulty was also just right in my opinion. Great job!
Thank you very much!
Very intuitive game! I fully enjoyed the platforming and the puzzles. Also the memorization for the scale too. And cute birb, you can't go wrong with a cute birb. I strongly and highly recommend giving this game a shot if you want to have some fun times!
First off, not a game dev, and I'm Ruby's friend (still expect an objective review; no nepotism from me)!
This is a really fun game, and the only problem I see is that there is some soft-locking in a couple of the easy stages I played (I play on easy mode; don't @ me!); all simple bugfixes from what I can see. Also, I got this error message upon closing the game:
It doesn't affect overall gameplay, though. Must just be an untied end in the code...? I dunno, because I'm not a coder. Either way, really fun, and novel concept! It just needs a little more polish. The name of your indie dev studio is a huge misnomer; you don't make "bad" games, you make "fun" games. You really need to give yourself some more credit, especially when you consider that you crunched on this.
Thanks for checking the game out <3
A few points tho...
I designed the levels knowing that it could be possible to soft lock (in some it's an intentional design choice). That's why I included an option to restart the level.
Also the difficulty of the level determines how much weight you put on the other side of the scales. If you only do easy you won't be putting much weight on and you'll probably not be able to balance.
And the error is known by me. It's cuz I keep using the quit() function which seems to work when I'm coding but not in exe form... Oops..
This is all good to know! Thanks for filling me in.
And you're quite welcome; anything for a friend! Ima try and get other people to rate your game, too; let's getcha a higher place on that rankings list this year! ✊️
This was a good game and I did have fun... It didn't work with wine but the Win10VM (that was supposed to be for programing ) ran it just fine... Couldn't get it to work on Windows XP :-(
