Hi there ! Seems we started on kinda the same premise, but ended going in different directions, that's interesting ! I like that yours have automatic battle resolution, it focuses the game on the building part

Nice game!
Reminded me of a mix between Galaxy Trucker and BossConstructor.
The difficulty spike seems a bit harsh, though. I would love to see a more balanced version after the jam.
Thumbs up!

Very satisfying, decent challenge :) maybe some control of the ship during the fights would make it even more fun

A simple yet striking visual style and energetic soundtrack create a captivating atmosphere! I'm a big fan of roguelikes and the connection to fast auto battler seems like an organic blend. The core mechanic of building and upgrading a ship is well-done, and the progression system is satisfying and provides depth and replayability.

Big Ship Energy is a well-polished and enjoyable game that offers a good bag of fun. Its blend of genres, combined with its addictive gameplay and strong visual style, make it a standout entry in the game jam for me. With further development and refinement, it has the potential to become a fully-fledged roguelike release that appeals to a wide range of players, and with the simple control scheme it even has the potential to hit mobile platforms.

I'm interested in potential future development, so gave you a follow on X.

I liked a lot how with every new part the ship becomes bigger and easier to hit, but some o the display numbers got me confused, not sure if the "-1" appearing out of nowhere were suppose to be there or a bug

Now that's a neat little game that scratches an itch for upgrading and Strategizing. Great work in both idea and execution!
