What a great and pleasant short experience. Super creative and fun. I <3 it!

Nice and charming, although a bit too string in regards to what you can write.

really cute game and was executed well. perfect length to be novel without getting boring. good job!

The art style is very cute and you developed the theme in an original way. The story is short but it has all the majour point you need to make it work, so good job!

It was tricky write on the keyboard. I often press other letters ahahaha. Anyway I like the concept!

Very cute game, really nice visuals and the story was enjoyable. :)

Still typed faster than some of my coworkers... I personally didn't really mind the tedium of the gameplay, as I thought the story was concise enough to be enjoyable before it got rough. Nice work!

Very silly and charming. Glad I didn't get lycanthropy or an unexpected pregnancy.

Very cool game. I largely agree with what appears to be the consensus in the comments. Very novel idea with lot of charm. But the gameplay was a bit tedious to get through.

Having a cool idea is the most important part of a jam though, and you knocked that out of the park!

Very cool and creative concept! I think the movement of the mouse and walking around the keyboard could have used a bit more tuning to keep it more fun for the player, but this has a lot of potential!

Love the art :)

Very interesting take on the idea! Nice art style, very pleasing to look at. Good job

This is a really cool idea and a great take on the theme with a cool story. Although, I found it pretty tedious to do the tasks since it was so easy to make mistakes and it was a bit annoying to go back to correct them. I decided to quit when I couldn't get the call to work - i think it's because I didn't have spaces in the phone number?

However, it's really quite well executed with a great art style and music!

Great art style and chill music. The gameplay and mechanics are super unique. gj

Very interesting take on the theme, having scale be more of a mechanic of the reason the gameplay is played in a certain way a nice way of using it, rather than scale be a major factor within the direct gameplay itself.

I was glad to see that there were some more interactions past typing within the game, and I think you got to the mouse movement right as typing on the keyboard was just starting to get rather tedious. Although, I think it would interesting to see some more mechanics that come come out from having to navigate a small computer. I was trying to think of ways that I could optimize my movements by typing in certain ways, then remove characters that I didn't need, but wasn't able to without arrow keys.

But, you wouldn't need to stick it to a computer, it could go on even further with just other tasks. Like having to do some random household task but small, or navigating a phone screen where all input matters. Just ways to get around the seemingly small ideas that come from specifically the computer would be likely beneficial.

With a game like this where errors and mistakes are often and expected, I think you need to lean into them a bit more within the design. As it is right now, any mistake is purely negative, and causing it to be just an annoyance. There are games that allow mistakes to be a part of the gameplay, but not be outright negative or annoying. One thing is with the texts, if you somehow were able to take in more responses, reacting to typos and such could be a entertaining thing to go through. Maybe your computer will auto send a message every X seconds, and (given the player has more quicker ways to move around) you need to type something out within that time, and mistakes are very much expected and add to the humor of the situation. But, I'm not entirely sure what else could be explored to fit this, but if you want to keep the idea of having to carefully navigate and mistakes will be made, you'd need it to less frustrating for player and more of the core design of the game.

The art is very nice! I love the hand drawn theme, and the final picture is very cute :)

Thank you for taking your time to write this comment! I am aware about clumsiness concerning keyboard typing, and I tried to allow for mistakes to be made in chat, but eventually I ran out of time to really make it work. Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

Very creative setup!

Very cool concept!! The artstyle is great as well! The main thing for me was that making mistake on accidently wasn't really fun, I had to really go slow. If there was a way to have clearer lanes / hit detection that would really help with that. Otherwise awesome idea!

Cute concept :)
Of course you can answer whatever (though it'll be really funny), but still - cool idea, though the movement is a bit finnicky.

Wow, when looking at the other comment. Jump + a optional timer for speedrun mode oh yeah. I got stuck on the phone number part, I tried everything so not sure what I should have done. The style is 10/10, love the drawn vibe, perfect cozy times. The music is maybe a bit too repetitive, but maybe a mute/audio slider, but yeah game jam I understand haha. The mouse was pretty great and it just sparks the imagination so much! Keep it up, love the little jokes in the text:)

Thanks!
Yeah, the phone number part wasn't too obvious: to send a text you just need to press "enter", but for the call you need to use the mouse to press the call button.  We should've make it so it works either way, but oh well

Submitted(+1)

Yeah I understood that easily, but not sure where it went wrong. What there a place to type +? I also tried 00 and without it, with and without spaces haha, I was determined, but no luck

Developer

The number without a plus should work and also both with and without spaces, but from my understand you've tried that. Anyway, sorry for that, I guess this is some bug that we didn't catch while testing

Ahoy !
Really cool game !! (but actually if she dumps you for not answering ... you better quit that relationship ... anyway I'm digressing).
Funny mechanincs, even if I wished I had the ability to jump sometimes to go a bit faster!
