How does your game fit the theme?
You play as Nugget, that needs to scale mountain and get pieces of his dragon's scale armor to "escalate" on power.

We did the game from the scratch, the textures that we tried to use didn't work... so there is no credits to be given here... sadly.

I spawned, looked down at my enormous belly. Turned around and couldn’t look down due too my belly. Tried jumping up the cliffs, but off course I can’t. Tried buttons to see from 3rd person perspective, read key binds and realized I am trapped in this obscured view. Next I walked into the sunlight and encountered my enormous contours, accepted my fate and let myself fall down. Off course I died and got rewarded with a hall of shame.
Picking up scales gave me skills and hope. Which soon disappeared due to the harsh reality which dawned on me. This game is made to make me hate it and myself, but disguised in a minimalistic design which hints at a lack of programming skills. But it isn’t a lack of skills but an abundance of evil glee at the torment of others. How did it score so high on enjoyment?
I rate it 7/10 due the psychological depth.
All of your sentences are correct.
Getting into the cave seemed kind of impossible, idk how I eventually did it, but then I managed to get double jump so I could get dash -- which was pretty neat because I noticed it never resets so you can just fly infinitely; so I was flying like a real dragon.
It is possible to get to the cave without going counter clockwise around the mountain (which is probably what you did)
There is a scale hidden behind a rock, you need to get that to be able to get to the cave the "intentional" way, since it allows you to jump slightly higher.
I do want to do more with double jump/dash because it could make a decent game, I like being able to fly around, I might do something with that (pretty rushed and crappy) code.
Thank you for the feedback!
The character controller is a bit heavy and slow, also i couldn't see my foot which is super weird but interesting game idea, liked it, congrats !
Why do people like a platformer where you can barely see where you're going lolll.
(no but thank you)
Really nice visuals, and an interesting take on the theme. Awesome job !
Thank you so much <3
I couldn't get too far but I freakin' loved how I looked to my side and saw this ominous nugget shadow hahaha. Funny concept and I love all the takes on "scale"
Thank you so much <3
A large brown block is obscuring the camera. Difficult to play.
Nugget needs to go on a diet
I think with textures the game would have been a lot clearer to play. But in the end I managed to find where to go! Like mentioned before you not being able to see your feet made platforming hard. But let's just call that a feature!
HUAHAUHAAHHAHAHAHAHAH XD
My game is full of "very intentional" features... (ノ_<。)ヾ(´ ▽ ` )
(╥ω╥)
Hehe, had some difficulties with textures as you can see in the credits
Also please tell me you fell for the fake death screen, please, that took way too much time.
I myself noticed it was hard to see geometry without textures especially with HTML graphics, but this is the first game ive finished so I didn't really know what I was doing xD
Good platformer! Clear progression, clear upgrades and has lava! Some problems I can note are that you can't see where you're jumping because of your body and there's no music
Thank you for your feedback! :D
Yes, now featuring "lava"
Nugget has eaten a bit too much.
And music, I couldn't find any good sources in time, and I can't make it myself.
i find it really funny that you can see your belly at all times, haha
One of those "mistakes" that ended up being a feature xD
On my side, when I was creating the character, it was not intentional at all... but The Programmer found hilarious that you could see it, in early iterations of the game you can even see your beak!!
Love the abstract style and the gameplay was fun, but the camera is a bit hard to rangle and no music or sfx is a bit disconcerting. Otherwise, great job!
Thank you very much!
We worked very hard in it :D
I never worked with 3D before, and my SunshineCoco is learning how to make games x)
