A very well executed platformer. I loved the animations and the style of the game. The cubes having different personalities only added to the enjoyment of the game. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, we liked playing around the differences of the cubes!

Style 5/5 Such a fun platformer!

Developer(+2)

We are glad you had fun :D

I really enjoyed the game and love the aesthetic. Everything looks super clean and polished and the sprite work is amazing.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for checking it out. It was fun to work with cubes and a limited color palette.

This is amazing!! the animation of the jump and dash was so amazing!! I have never really like pixel art, but I guess this has converted me into a believer because is so simple yet so stylish! I think this is a very good take on the theme of the jam.

Gameplay wise the weight of the character and the controls felt so smooth. My only critique is that I don´t know if it´s on purpose or not but the music lagging or speeding according to the character actions was a little bit jarring for me. Mostly because it sounded like actual lag.

Developer(+2)

I'm glad you liked our game that much!

The web version seems to have many audio issues, for the full experience, please play download:)

First of all, the animators are absolutely sick. Especially the dash/move animation for the big cube and also the death animation.

Second of all, the idea is really cool. I like the fact that you have to change different sizes while in the air and stuff.

It's definitely a bit tricky at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun.

The jumping and dashing also feels really satisfying. The fact that you have to rewind your jump first and then release it is a bit slow, but I think it feels awesome and it's definitely unique.

One thing I also really enjoyed is the fact that you gave each cube a different personality. It's totally unnecessary, but it's super fun!

The level design and music are also very well executed. Overall, a really cool entry and a cute and nice game. Good job, guys!

PS: I love the dynamic lighting.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!

For the jump: we knew that this would maybe slow down the movement a little bit, but we wanted the player to feel like he is scaling the cube by himself, but thank you for the feedback.

We tried to make our entry as polished as we can while also adding a bunch of content. The personalities would have gone even further with possible dialogue if we had the time to do it. If we look further into the game in the future, we would probably add things like that to round up the player experience!

I love this. I love the tiny bits of personality the cubes were given, the entire color palette of the game is engaging without being painful, and the fact that it abbreviates to “BYG” is a cute touch. It looks fun, it sounds fun, and it is fun.

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing, and the nice comment :)

Loved how art is resolved simple but effectively, level select menus and tooltips could be a tad more clear! Otherwise super fun to play!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the praises :)

We're glad you liked our game, and if we do a follow-up update, we will try to improve on that!

This was an interesting take on the game jam idea. The art looked really good, and the sound effects matched everything nicely. My only critique would be that the default control scheme made it somewhat tricky to quickly scale the characters up and down mid air while dashing, but overall everything (especially the animations) was very well done. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Glad that you liked it! We had definitely in mind to put an input buffer or something like that in the game to improve on how the movement feels and to make the game more accessible. If we chose to continue working on the game we would definitely look more into this. Thanks for the feedback :)

So good, it's like they are each different people! Hope to see you in GMTK 2025!

Developer(+2)

It's very nice, that you liked it! We first had in mind to wrap a little story around the three cubes with each one having their own personality, but that was cut due to time reasons :D.

If it fits our time, we sure want to participate again. See you then!

Really great visual style and I was really enjoying the mechanics but I got stuck pretty quickly. I couldn't get past the spot pictured below. I seen that there is a dash in the description of the game but I can't figure out how to use it. Maybe I am missing something. What I did play felt very nice and polished though.

Actually it wont let me post the image. It was a part where there was yellow stuff on the wall and it looked like I needed to jump back and forth from wall to wall

Developer(+1)

Hey, did you play the levels in order? Each level introduces the mechanics, and then builds on them. When on a sticky wall, you can then dash after you jumped of, also be sure to aim the dash with a or s respectively

I think this game implements the theme in a very creative way. Playing three characters with different playstyles is refreshing and opens many creative ways to play the level. The only thing which bothered me a bit is on some points in a level i had to switch between yellow and blue very rapidly, which at this point felt like too challenging and frustrating. Despite that i think you did a really good job. Animations are on point, definetly has the 'juice'. Keep it up!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm very glad you liked it!

We also like juice🧃 !

Definitely worth downloading! The game is super fun, and the art is beautiful. The only reason why I say to download is because the web version clips the audio as you move and it takes away the immersion. Overall, very fun!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review, comment. We struggled a bit with the webversion, as it messed up some of our Soundsystems, so we had to cut them to fix the issues for the version, so I agree if you want the full experience, go for the download, if anyone needs a version for a different operating system, DM me

Amazing! The animations and art style are really creative and well executed and the gameplay is really fun ,top marks . My only issue is with controls , maybe using the mouse would have made it a bit easier  .If this had controller support and Improved UI it could very well be a fully fledged game .

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, if we choose to continue, we will look into those aspects more :)

Submitted(+2)

Such a nice game. From the animation (probably my favorite part), to the art and gameplay. It really hooks you.

Developer(+2)

I'm very glad you liked it, seeing it all come together was also our favourite part of the jam :)

Switching between forms is a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's super fun to jump from one wall to another, changing forms and killing enemies too. The animations are also very well done and the sounds are fun. My only suggestion or point to think about would be to see if it's worth making a level system, but that's also a personal choice. Anyway, congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, that sounds like a very fun idea for the future :D

Submitted(+2)

Very charming! Learning to switch between blobs mid-air feels like trying to learn a musical instrument. I like it.

Adding groovy sounds was so funny during development. Thank you!
