I really really enjoyed this. Super satisfying gameplay and a solid loop. Is there any chance you'll release a downloadable copy? The browser version is really laggy for me but I can legit see myself playing this in my downtime at work!
Wow, thank you for these compliments and feedback! Strange that it was laggy, I wonder what may have caused this? I am looking to further develop this, quite possibly as a premium game. So happy you enjoyed it, thanks!
The game looks and feels absolutely amazing, I had a blast playing this. I love herding-like games.
Oh that is so great to hear, cheers! Game feel is so important to me, glad you liked it! Thanks!
I really like this game's concept. It's really cool that you get new blocks that both give powers and acts as a shield. I feel like the enemy range is a little too long though. Other than that, the game is fun and I see a lot of potential in it. Great job!
You're absolutely right about the enemies, they need fixing. I'm excited that you see potential in it and I really want to take this furtjer. This feedback helps a lot, thank you!
Neat game! Herding those little guys while avoiding or shooting the red enemies was a fun challenge. The hexagon attachments were a cool way of upgrading the defense in addition to the stat upgrades. I liked how I could basically attach them in whatever shape I wanted, which allowed me to create a large scoop shape to herd in more of those little jellyfish at once! The camera panning around to show more in the direction you are aiming was a nice touch too. I noticed the red enemies would sometimes attack me from off-screen, giving me no chance to defend myself or dodge. I think either an indicator of where they are about to attack from off-screen (like a quick visual effect), or making them only attack when visible could help with that. But that's just an idea. Nice job with the game!
So happy to hear that you liked the different concepts put together. I treated this as a test of bringing these ideas together and I'm very pleased with the results since people seem to get what I'm going for. The enemies aggressiveness is a problem and definitely needs tweaking and balancing. Thank you so much for the feedback, I'm looking forward to improving upon the whole design/game!
Really great concept ! I loved playing it
Awesome, great to hear! Thanks!
Creative concept that's fun to play and fits the jam theme really well. After getting multiple fire rate upgrades I didn't feel a noticeable difference, maybe it could be tweaked so it's a clearer upgrade.
Agreed, I haven't really balanced anything so different stats definitely need different curves in terms of stepping up improvements. Thank you for this feedback and the kind words!
For a proof of concept, the art is very nice. The heading mechanic also felt very natural so good job on that. Literally adding upgrades on to your player was a great idea. It was fun to try to make a shape to capture the little bits. Great Job!
Thanks, the art was pretty rushed so that is a nice compliment! Happy to hear that you enjoyed the game and thank you for the feedback!
Be sure to check mine :)
The artwork and the creativity behind this game is a splendor. Using pixel art for the project is good.
Keep it up:>
Thank you! It is so fun creating pixel art but can be very time consuming.
This was pretty fun! I had a good time herding the small hive parts and the upgrade system gives a great dynamic to it.
One of the main goals was to make the herding fun so I am very glad you liked it and thank you for this feedback!
