How does your game fit the theme?
In this game you have to build a city reaching clouds on a balancing rock. And you balance it with the growing monster on the other side. If the monster starts to starve it's mass is going to decrease. To feed it you have to make offerings from things that your city produces. So you have to grow your city by growing the monster and you can't stop.

The monster vs city infinite loop is a brilliant design choice, well done !
Goes very well with the goofy art style :)

I wish my own entry was this high quality.

Developer

Thank you for kind words! And game dev is hard even without such brutal time constraints. So be proud of what you could achive.

This was a lot of fun! I took me a little bit to understand the concept of balancing the monster’s weight to your building weight, but that’s a really cool mechanic!

Developer

Thank you! And I'm glad you had fun!

Oh wow, the mechanic of balancing the scale while also scaling up the population with the resource management gameplay is creative. The monster idea is also a very cool dilemma to introduce in this game. Quite an interesting concept for this jam and very repeatable in the long run. Good job all around!

Developer

Thank you for playing. And for your feedback.

This was a great concept! Love the mix of resource management and block stacking puzzle.

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Very interesting. I did not quite get what i have to do at first but then i have lots of fun

Developer

Thanks! Glad you had some fun.

This is an incredible take on the theme and very well constructed. Top marks all around.

It took me a while to figure out why the monster was _losing_ weight and how to balance that. Got up to 34 but then my game crashed. Such is game jam life :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Hunger came out slightly obscured mechanics. And "how to play" explanation in main menu was very rushed. Game jam life indeed.

Developer

This game is very fun! I loved the art style, which was so charming, and the mechanic was really unique and interesting. It kept me very engaged, trying to get the monster as big as possible while also maintaining the balance of the village... almost got him to 100 tons!!!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

thanks! I made art for this game and I'm glad you like it! I had fun too! Also my record for now is 207 tons, it's quite insane, but I spent some time playing this game haha

This is very enjoyable, the art reminds me of that children's book with the brown bear.

The sound effects from the monster are also hilarious

Developer

thanks! glad you like it, I had fun myself! also I made art.  what is the book?

Submitted(+2)

I did indeed feed the monster XD I fed the monster so much that everything fell off the little rock island

I like the sound  and the gameplay is so funny. 113 Tons new record

Cute sound effects, music and style! It would be great to know where a building is going to end up when hovering (e.g. it might be highlighted green if it can be placed there, or red if it's an invalid spot). Are the aesthetics Midsommar inspired? Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for feedback. Placement highlight was planned but didn't get to release unfortunately. And aesthetics is indeed somewhat Midsommar inspired.

Developer(+1)

thanks! I made the art,  glad you like it! somehow it turned out to be Midsommar-like. I thought of some cults, but didn't want to make it too sinister, at least for the first sight :D
