Walking on the walls is very fun, though I got stuck a lot
I like where this is going! I believe you got yourself a good canvas here. You have so many directions where you can head - like different sorts of surfaces where you either can't walk on or swing from; you can use the tongue mechanic to grab and pull stuff (e.g. pulling levers, coins, enemies, etc); you can have dexterity checks where you test the player's ability to leverage momentum to clear long jumps too.
I loved the art style and the presentation too. Please keep working on this!
It looks and sounds amazing. It feels like there’s a quite good game just a few hours of debugging and small changes away.
I got stuck in the ground a few times, even when it tried to respawn me at one time, for example. Climbing seems random whether or not it ‘connects’. Not being able to climb would be fine, but only if you have a swing mechanic or something. Which maybe wouldn’t work very well with the mouse controls as they’re set up now. While on the one hand the wheel gives this sort-of satisfying ratcheting feel, it does also feel a bit clunky (well at fist at least, I think it might be something you can get used to). It does feel more accessible to make that a button.
Lastly, that I’m able to dive this deep in criticism actually speaks for the game, as I find it hard to go deep on things that are just too simple – where there isn’t anything to fix. (Not that simplicity in an of itself is a bad thing, it can be done well and then just polished – but I think you get what I mean.)
The game idea is soooo cool but i the controls are super hard and i wasnt able to move propertly but i love the game idea and the movment
I love the style and the concept. I thought the tongue mechanic worked pretty well for the most part, but the climbing was a bit finicky. I think if the climbing were to be cleaned up a bit, it'd make for a very fun and silly physics game!
love the music and the artwork!
The music is nice and chill, the chameleon is cute, and the tongue-swinging mechanic seems like a fun idea. I agree with others that the movement was pretty janky and I unfortunately couldn't progress very far, but if you get that sorted out it could be quite a fun & chill game.
The idea and art is amazing, but I had a really rough time with the controls. The chameleon were doing all sorts of weird things like sticking to random surfaces, walking upside down, etc. However, when everything worked, the game was really enjoyable.
the controls are a bit sticky but the little lizzer is so cute i have to give it my full attention ;; Really cute game!
i like the relaxing music, the art style and the nice gameplay!
very cute concept! that logo is top notch and the style of everything is so great!
such a nice art style, controls are a little difficult but its a game jam- that's expected! Really cool concept, you should definitely develop this further :)
Controls are a bit rough, still it fits the theme of the game. Enjoyed the game otherwise!
the controls are really tough, but the concept is so cute. extra kudos to the pink tongue.
