How does your game fit the theme?
In this game, you play as Lady Justice, using scales a weapon, which in turns scales your weight, changing the proportions of the physics-based action combat as you fight. Also, Lady Justice is a statue holding scales, so she's literally "built to scale" :)

cool!

The art almost reminds me of zomboid or runescape, very cool!

I like the concept of the scales and playing as Lady Justice, but the execution was a bit messy. The music was significantly louder than all the voice acting, so I could barely hear the dialogue in the cutscenes. You can run past the combat in every level and get straight to the boss (who is super easy to cheese). The physics-based objects didn't feel necessary for the combat, and it was a 50/50 shot whether your hit actually pushed it.

The cover art is amazing, though, props to whoever did it! The rest of the art is solid as well, but ultimately not able to save the experience from the gameplay's flaws. Good job finishing a game for the jam, would love to see a refined version of this someday!

Thanks for the feedback!  We definitely weren't able to get the 3D animations and combat as polished as we would've liked, and unfortunately I think the clarity of what's happening didn't quite pan out.

The 3D elements are something new we wanted to try to learn for this jam so there's lots of growing room for us there.  We're working on some refinements and better 3D Visuals to polish it up and will upload following the jam!

i liked the art and the scale mechanic, that was fun! the intro was also cool, like these mafia movies :)

would love to have a little bit more control over my justice lady and attack animations!

Developer

Thanks so much!  Yeah we weren't able to get the 3D animations polished up quite well enough unfortunately - we're gonna post a more polished version after the jam.

Love the UI and art direction sooo much. Really cool, very apparent Persona inspiration. The voice line is a very nice addition as well. Quite slow to play in browser so can't say much about mechanic, but the usage os scale as a literal weapon in this game is quite creative. Good job on this game! :)

The 2D art is really cool! The feel of the controls I found a little wonky though

Developer

Thanks for playing!  Yeah the 3D animations definitely need some updating to make it clearer, we're planning to make a more polished version after the jam ends!

Hey yo! The idea of the angry Lady Justice is amusing. I found it a bit difficult to play, but the UI is really cool. Great job!

Thanks for playing! Definitely needed some work on making it bit easier and making animations better reflect what was happening. Just got done playing your game! It was incredibly fun and well polished. Great work!

It looks cool. but i cant play in chrome (too slow). im crying

Developer

Sorry to hear that - unfortunately there were some issues with the WebGL build, some of our VFX are missing as well.  Thanks for checking it out though!  We'll add a downloadable build in the future!

The drawings are super pretty, love that, have a lot of space to improve in the 3d modeling. Good job at voice over(laugh). Keep on improving.

Developer

Thank you for playing!  Absolutely agree - the isometric 2.5D is a new space we wanted to try and we have lots to learn about 3D modeling and animation.  Was a great learning experience though!

The hand drawn art was so pretty and I liked the justice-based voice lines, those got a chuckle out of me. Great use of the theme!

Thank you so much!

Developer

Thanks so much, we took a pretty creative interpretation of the prompt so I'm glad to hear it works!

It was hard for me to find the controls, but the implementation was well done.
Good job!

should add a tutorial at the beginning for controls or match something like hades. Thank you for playing!

Developer(+1)

We'd definitely benefit from adding a tutorial. Thank you for commenting and playing!
