The concept of the game was interesting and the art design amazing but I couldn't drag my dice to nothing, only in the calderon.
Hello, thanks for playing!
That can be because of a very common confusion. The recipes in general are locked at the beginning, you must use the top gaps (<=3, >=4, odd, even) to unlock them in order and then you will be able to use them.
Oh, sorry to hear that... Did you make sure that your skills were unlocked? Could you drag your dice into the top gaps?
It's really beautiful to look at and a creative game concept that seems very fun when you start to understand more. I love the word play in the title too. Giving you top ratings on creativity and presentation for sure!
I only wish that you didn't have the hard day limitation. As a regular player, there's just a small chance to have any experience of success.
If you had just dropped the day limit and instead made it more like a highscore game where your needed days are your high score, everybody could have played through and experienced the full game. At the same time, those who would want to go for optimizing it more, could still do so.
Thanks for playing and the good rating :)
We are aware of the difficulty of beating the score with that 6 turns limitation. Although we feel like dropping the turnlimit would not force the player to think of the better strategy to beat it, we do agree a highscore system might be better for the game. We thought about making some ranking based on the score the player gets, something like giving 1, 2 or 3 stars based on how much you can get on six turns.
Still, thanks for the feedback! We might update the game to a post jam version, so it is well appreciated :)
That's an interesting idea yeah, thanks for the feedback :)
Great art work - really atmospheric. I struggled at first to figure out the gameplay - but once I had the hang of it - I found there was alot of depth to this game.
Thanks! Glad to hear you stayed long enough to appreciate it :D
Cool! Thanks for playing :)
A bit hard in the beginning but really satisfactory once you beat it. Great art, great idea, great work!
Thanks for the kind work! Glad you like it :)
It felt a bit like the two rightmost research trees were a bit of a trap, as only the two on the left helped with completing the game. Maybe I missed something though. Very cool concept.
All columns are useful for different strategies, but it must be figured out ;)
Thanks for playing!
Is it possible to win without using the center-left one?
I won once using the multiplier to unlock new dice + extre turn. Then in the last turn with a fare amount of dice I duplicated twice my dice pool and played with reroll all and +2 all to win
We had a long discussion over how to balance the research trees yeah, we wanted a multiple-solution game. Glad you liked the concept :)
on the one hand, it was frustrating having such a small number of turns to work with, but then that also made it easy to restart and try again.
That's something the design team had in mind, we ended up going for replayability instead of increasing the number of turns
Incredibly fun! Took a while to puzzle out, but once I realized you could stack the multipliers from the second column on the same value, the game seemed much more possible.
Hehe you discovered one of the winner strategies.
Glad you found it fun :)
Yeah right? As one of the programmers (and being super bad at strategy games myself) it also took me a while to figure out the best strategy to beat the game. It was funny seeing the designers get 200+ points when I couldn't even reach 80 xD
I think there may also be a bug on the multipliers: the ones that say they only work for small numbers nonetheless seem to work on anything.
Managed to win without taking advantage of that, but still.
Oh! It may be the case yeah, thanks for the feedback
fantastic presentation and take on the breif! Your team should be super proud!
Thank you for playing!
Thanks!
Love the art.
