There is a good foundation here, but there are a lot of little technical things that reduce the "feel goodedness" of the gameplay. Some other comments have pointed them out already (such as no health indicators for enemies), but another big one is the camera placement when the character jumps. It is both so zoomed in, and so close to the bottom of the character, that it's impossible to see where you are about to land (and if there are any enemies or portals there).  Great job!

The spells were really cool and the cooldowns felt good, made fighting fun. I <3 Poseidon + Poison

I don't quite get how this involves dice, other than the big baddie. Cute art though, and a fun little balancing act trying to rotate the spells effectively!

Jump feels way too floaty and there needs to be more feedback from the enemies in regards to how much damage they are taking, but otherwise nice job!

The art and animation are really well done! Just wish the jump was more fluid. Good job!

the art is really quite amazing for a game jam!" but the floaty character-movement combined with the weird cutty walking sound makes the game feel less fun

Nice art and concept! There's a bug unfortunately in the boss battle where the boss wouldn't take any damage and then after I died, I respawned super zoomed in and the boss just stood still. Understandable with the short time though! Good concept, well done!

The art is amazing. The gameplay is kind of confusin

I love the character. Beautifully made.

A bit hard to play on non-qwerty keyboards. :-) Maybe move the spells to the number keys ?

The animations and sprite work are well done, but there's a lot of information to take in with a lot of text too read. I feel like it should ease the player into smaller features before giving the player full control. Good game though for one made under 48 hours.

I didn't think this had much to do with the "roll a dice prompt". That said, I think this could be the makings of something really good: a puzzle platformer where magic is used to fight and progress. Only suggestions would be shrinking the screen view in, reducing jump floatiness and having some better feedback on enemy attacks. Otherwise, great job on completing the task!

Hi thanks for playing our game! We totally agree on the notes you pointed out and we really wanted to fix them but we were under a lot of pressure because of the time.
