The visuals of the game are quite amazing and good, the mechanics are ok but the overall game difficulty is a bit over the top. You could basically start the game a be trapped in bullet hell from 2 big ships and 2 small ones. Overall the concept is quite good for an endless shoot'em up but the difficulty needs a bit of a rework.

Power-ups? Whats that? (in all seriousness tho, power-ups are too infrequent and far in between)

Thank you for playing and for the valuable feedback!

The ships look really cool and and the game is quite fun to play!

First piece of feedback, the game is difficult from the start, there should be some scaling, maybe tied to when you kill an enemy causing more to spawn. For now it seems random and overwhelming.

Second, the background looks kinda odd because it has bigger pixels than the spaceships.

The ships are very verried in their movement and shooting patterns but there is a big difference in kill difficulty. I find it hard to kill the smallest ship as it is also the one that moves the most, but the big ones are stationary so way easier to kill. Even though their shots are the biggest they always travel the same path and so are predictible unlike the small targeted annoying ones.

Overall, fun game but too difficult too quickly and too short powerups or too few of them, they never overlapp which is a shame.

Hi!

We are aware there's some graphical inconcistencies with the game, unfortunately we ran into some issues with the scale of the assets and we didn't had time to fix them so we tried to get it to look as good as we could.

As for the gameplay, personally i'm glad people are finding it challenging since i feel that invites replayability, but it's true some enemies are more annoying than others and there is no dificulty scaling, that's certainly an area we can improve upon.

We tried our best at coming up with powerup item mechanics to present the theme of randomness to the game (at least how we interpreted it). We had ideas like transforming enemies into health or destroying all enemies on the screen, among others but we couldn't implement them all into the game in time.

I'm pretty appy with what we managed either way and learned a lot for next time we try to make a shooter or similar game

Anyways, thanks for playing our game and giving us great feedback!

The art was great. I really liked playing it, the tiny bullets are a pain in the ass xD

Beautiful art! I love the style and gameplay, very polished.  I think the theme could have been integrated more deeply, but otherwise good job!

Thank you for playing our game! Glad you enjoyed it!

fun but . . . kinda looks like galaga but sideways.

Fun game, great execution. I liked the variety of enemies, you got a good balance with those.

Developer

Thank you! We are pretty proud of the enemy variety :)

Tricky! Nice vibes. Additional visual feedback when taking/dealing damage would help with the feel I think.

Developer

Thanks! We would've liked adding more animations and stuff but we didn't had enough time. Still glad you played it and enjoyed it.

Only 5 ratings? Such a shame. Your 8 bit game looks amazing.
And I'm glad you had dice mechanics without actual dice.
Which is what I did with my game as well. Good job!
