Definitely one of my favorites this jam. If this game grows into a polished version with a little more upgrades and polished mechanics, I think I'd buy it.

Music, graphics and mechanics go along very well. One little think I'd consider reworking is making the 1d6 land in the center of the tile. It felt weird to see it lift and not land exactly on the tile.

This is a quite unique turn on the concept, the art is good and the mechanics feel fun except it feels a bit to random. I'm always just rolling over and overagain trying to get a number.

Apart from that, great game!

Okay, the game felt a bit too random for me. Playing it feels a lot like clicking desperately everywhere in hope of having good results. Even with some strategies available, there's a lot of time praying the RNG gods.

But now that's being said, I must say that the idea and execution are still excellent! The core concept is pretty interesting, a mix between tower defense and clicker where we must try to improve the defense of each columns. As being said there's some strategies that can be found, and it's satisfying when they work out. Plus, the variety of power-up is impressive, and they all are super useful and interesting to play with! I had several games, and each time I discovered new way to play thanks to the bonuses I bought. It's pretty cool.

In the end the game might get too intense too soon. I really had fun once I had 3 or 4 power-ups, but the second wave is already really hard. Most of the time I didn't have much time to think long-term, there was always an emergency for a particular ghost. Which put me back on the loop "click until you get lucky". Which is also interesting in term of pacing, but there might be a better balance that can be found.

Overall, super cool concept, great and fun upgrades, just need a bit of balancing to make it feel less random or punitive.

Thanks you for your comment, it's very usefull.

Yeah, I tried to make a game with random manipulation without being too frustating by using different strategy, but there are still a few things to make better. I realised that the balance isn't fair, and i'm already fixing it for the post jam version.

This kind of comment helps a lot to know what should be improved, so once again, thanks a lot :)

This is very fun! It's very hard to master. The randomness does feel strategic, as if planning for the unexpected is what lets you win.

Great concept and level of polish, one of my favourites of this jam.

Really interesting concept and fun to play as well! Upgrades are fun to get as well. The lane style of 'tower defense' reminds me of plants vs zombies.

Would love if you can check out my game too. Thanks!

Great game!

I had a really hard time at first but then I understood that I didn't need to click the roll button, and that I could go faster! I feel like this button is more of a trap than a helper :')

I really liked the gameplay, it is fast and there is no time to take a break! The upgrades you can choose at the end of each wav are very clever and help a lot. The explosive upgrade is very powerful! It helped me so much to finish the game!
The 3 enemy types are great, the black one feels very dangerous when it appears! It makes the game so much more interesting because you have to priorise between aiming for a black phatom, or a row of 3 white phantom, while setting up new numbers on the ground.

Also, the game looks nice, it has a very clean aesthtic, and the music perfectly fits the constant panic you feel while playing the few last rounds haha!

Good job!

Super well done! Once I wrapped my brain around the concept of the gameplay, I had a ton of fun! The power-ups and the different ghost types really help keep things interesting. I think given more time you could add some tutorials to explain some of the mechanics a bit more in depth, but otherwise you have an excellent game here!

Accidentally presses spacebar ... hmm what's this, free upgrades!

Really cool game, it's something I've never seen before and quite creative. Also the visuals are really clean.

Oh! I accidentally forgot this.... It's embarassing, please don't tell anyone. Thank you for your comment.

I also randomly stumbled upon this. Before commenting here. :)

Wow, amazing! This is my favourite submission in the jam so far! The only big hurdle was trying to figure out how to play the game, so some more explanation on that would've been nice. Very impressive game! With a lot more work on balance, polish and gameplay, I could even see this work as a full release!

Developer

I hoped the training wave was enough to learn how to play, but apparently not^^. Thank you for your feedback :)
