It's impressive what you managed to do in 5h. The controls feel good and the art is nice. Good job, and I hope you'll have better luck next time!
I loved the presentation, there was a moment where I had opened most of the chests I could get to and had only got the useless stuff and was worried I wouldn't be able to finish it but then the final chest came in clutch and I got the wall jump
GG!
The idea is really fun and the execution is also good! I found a way to get out of the map :))
Oh yeah, I think I know the exit you mean :) . I didn't have time to playtest.
Had to through the level design together in a few seconds, so I'm glad there aren't any super common softlocks at least.
responsive controls, and enticing atmosphere
The controls are smooth and feel great. The Artstyle also really makes the game. Great Job! :)
Cool!
The powerups are too conveniently placed to be random! :) I like platformers with tight controls. The level is straightforward but quite large and feels nice to traverse
The powerups are indeed not random, but don't tell anyone. You will break the illusion.
I smell potential! Good job, really has a vibe!
The concept of a metroid-vania kind of thing but the powerups are randomized is a fresh and inherently exciting one. However, the execution of some of the mechanics were obviously unfinished. The game really looks and sounds great though, the music and visuals combine to make a rich atmosphere, and I love the little touches like the mould on some dice and the little flip the player does when double jumping!
The "microtransactions" are part of the humour of the game I think ;)
The microtransactions are fake :) It is supposed to be a parody of the way mobile games are monetized.
