cool game :D would have liked to see dmg numbers and hp bars

Solid overall! My critiques are that I think it was a bit too difficult and I would have liked some upgrades or something similar to keep the game fresh. But again, good overall!

This game was very well made, I think it could be a little faster paced but other than that I think it was great!

Cool game, I liked the spell verity! Although there doesn't seem like much reason to swap in the beginning once you found a good one. The game overall feels a bit slow, maybe speed up the projectiles and add some screen shake!

Loved the dice roll for new powers! The death animation was too long though

I like the implementation of the theme, but one of the weapons kinda feels like "I win" button 😅 If you can get the balance right, it sure can be enjoyable!

Amazing!

Great presentation, really cool idea. Needs a bit more polish and snappier controls. Looking forward to an update.

Game is great. I liked the concept when some enemies have immunity to specific spells. By the way my game idea is similar to yours.

The concept of getting a power depending on a dice roll is brilliant!

Some possible enhancements/ideas :

  • Pacing: from the start enemy spawning is too sparse and too slow.
  • Force reroll: some powers are better than others, so it becomes useless to reroll
  • Build a dice: before the game starts, possibility to choose each faces of the dice with more powers (or improve it with some kind of money ala roguelike)

A few bugs encountered: no enemy spawning after restarting following my second death.

Super nice entry, I will be waiting for new versions/releases :)

great game, although the yellow machine gun shooting noise could probably give me tinitus. the purple one was fun, and then the green and blue ones were pretty much useless.

there was some decent enemy variation but It never got any harder and the wizards were too sparse imo.

good concept (kinda similar to what we used in our game), but it could use some incentive to swap weapons, like a kind of way to force the player to get out of their comfort zone.

I love the variety in the weapon system! As some other comments said, it is a liiiiittle bit slow and I feel like there's not really a whole lot of reason to switch weapons? You can pretty much roll until you get your favorite one, but I would love to see a faster paced post jam version maybe with enemies with different resistances! And maybe you could try having the player move slower while holding a weapon and can throw the dice to move away more quickly or stuff like that, it's a really cool place to start to make a game with a bunch of unique weapons without feeling overpowered!

Nice game. Very interesting concept. Once I got how to use dice it became great. Very clever way to save on animation during a Game Jam while having everything animated. Could do with a bit faster dice rolling, though. Great job!

It wasn't immediately clear how to use the dice, but once I figured it out I immediately loved the idea. Great job.

Being able to change weapons mid fight is fun, although a bit slow. I liked having to fight wizards that use the same spells I do. Nice idea!
