The art is great in this game, good job on that. Also quite fun but I did feel that the controls and platforming was a bit clunky. The dice did add a nice level of fun but sometimes they were not really necessary. Great job though.

Thank you for your kind words and feebdack! The controls are a bit of a mixed issue. Some people find them extremely well done. Other people find them a bit difficult to control. I guess that all depends on personal taste. But I am glad that you enjoyed it still!

I really enjoyed playing this game! While sometimes it didn't feel like dice were necessary to pass the level, they did make for a nice dynamic. With further development they could be proven to be essential.

Also I really enjoyed art of this game, it looks incredible! Good job!

Not sure what others are saying, but I think the controls are okay on where they are currently at.
I also really liked the minimalistic art style that the game has, some of the signpost also made me smile. You found nothing ! congrats on finishing the jam !

Lots of great ideas here! A couple of minor gripes but  nothing some fixes/tweaks and a bit more time developing  couldn't fix.   Firstly, the player feels a bit hard to control. I would make the character respond a little quicker (increase movement acceleration)  and fall a little slower (less gravity) to alleviate this.  Secondly, it's easy to get soft-locked with no way to die/reset the level.  Simply adding a reset to checkpoint button/hotkey would help. Lastly, the level design could be improved to cater more to using the dice. The dice  did not feel necessary aside from a couple of pits. Otherwise, I love the art style and mechanics introduced. You've got the start of a great game here. Well done!

Thank you for your detailed feedback! The controls are a mixed issue. Some people find them extremely well done. Other people find them a bit difficult to control. I guess that all depends on personal taste. But I have to admit, that I did not add any sugar to the controls. Due to the time constraint of 48 hours and being a solo developer there were a few corners cut short. One of these was the level design. The flaws in the level design led to a few unexpected encounters with the dice. But I am glad that you enjoyed it still!

Neat platformer, controls feel a bit clunky though. Also did not really need the dice most of the time.

Thank you for your feedback! The dice are more of a fun mechanic and less of a requirement due to a few flaws in game design. But that should not stop you from ejoying the experience of Dizard!

The art style was really great and the dice-throwing mechanic reminded me of my game... (or at least what I was going for) Really great game, amazing work!

it's very pretty, really liked the platform aspects of it even though I think the gravity is a little too high, but I didn't get much of the dice things

The dice are due to a few flaws in the level design not as prominent as they should have been, that is true.

Very cute game. I liked the art a lot and the Dice Mechanic was pretty neat too. Good job!

It's very, very polished, I don't have anything negative to say about it as a standalone game. The only nitpicky thing I could say (if anything!) was that if the dice were swapped out with another object, the game would still make sense.

Thank you for your feedback and your kind words! Swapping with dice with something different would work for any of the submissions that did not take the theme of a dice literally. The thrown dice do in fact roll in mid air, just like regular dice. They are simply loaded dice with an expected result that may vary if you throw too far or too high.

Wow, I love it so much! It's good looking, it's polished, it's easy to understand, it's funny. Jump is so smooth! Definitely one of the best submission I played.  Great job and thank you for the experience!
