That was an experience haha
Well this was definitely an interesting one lol. got me stuck playing it for a while and was pleasantly surprised with the implementation of the theme!
The concept of selecting a buff to either the player or to the enemies and then rolling to see which way it actually goes is quite interesting, would be cool to see that expanded upon a bit more with higher tier upgrades having a greater chance to "fail" and be applied to the opposing side. That mechanic is a nice take on the theme.
I love the silly graphics and music. The randomization mechanic is quite awesome it feels like youre playing a roguelike but any time you get an upgrade it can also be a downgrade one time i got myself high speed bullets with low firerate which pretty much turned my minigun into a sniper.
Also i appreciate that you dont need to constantly hold a button to shoot.
I had so much fun with this game. I found a way to get out of the map and shot bullets through a wall at the enemies. I got a score of 200+ before I stopped playing. Great submission :)
Nice! Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it even if it was pretty buggy!
Nice idea overall. Unexpected.
It's lacking some balance, although I understand it would be a hard balance to make in jam's time. Some parameter changes didn't affect the experience that much.
