Played fast time running out Great idea combining puzzle and combat! First game I've seen like that max creativity points. Make this a full game!

Developer

Thanks a lot lol

Really interesting game! Checkpoints could help, but still an amazing game!

Developer

Thanks! Didnt have time for making checkpoints so I tried to keep the levels relatively short.

Cool game! Great gameplay:)

Thanks a lot!!

Good start into gamejams. It's impressive how much you have acomplished in 48 hours. I would work on the movement, level readability and level design to keep good pacing.

This game is really fun! I like the gameplay a lot, and it's really impressive that you made all this by yourself. It would be even better if you teamed up with an artist so you could have some non-placeholder art, but the particle effects, good camera angle and post processing still makes it look pretty good even with the simple shapes as models!

This was fun! Movement felt smooth and the level design was interesting and fun :)

I think linking the roll of the die to an action that you are required to make is pretty neat. I would have like if the particles of the shots were a different colour from the shots. But otherwise great!

The trails do be a little confusing. Thanks for playing!

I liked this mix of a shooter with a little bit of puzzles. Nice art style too, and the difficulty ramps up just as it's supposed to (except maybe the last level is a bit too hard, although it might be fine since it's the end).

I think you could add some visual feedback when activating the doors and stuff because sometimes it's not obvious. And maybe some wires connecting the buttons with the doors, because in the first part of level 4 I didn't get that you have to place the die on the button in order to proceed.

Also, having some music would improve the experience.

Aside from that, I enjoyed this game, nicely done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I 100% agree with all of your criticizm. Adding at least some kind of connection between doors and buttons would help a lot with people getting stuck. The 5th level was kind of just slapped on last minute so I didnt have time to properly playtest it nor tweak what made it ridiculously difficult. It honestly wouldve been better without it. I really appreciate your feedback.

Fun little game! The difficulty really ramps up on the final level, good luck to those who wish to beat it!

Some very cool ideas implemented in this game! I loved the risk-reward balance with trying to heal and getting stronger throw in the level where you can easily throw the die out of bounds. Really enjoyed playing, even the last level which was a bit too hard.

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

The mechanics were definitely there and shined through to make it really interesting! Thanks for joining stream. Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3!

Cute little dice thrower (this is going to be a new genre after this jam isnt it). Simplistic but totally adequate and consistent graphics. Gameplay feels really. Good Job.

Thats a good game pretty simple but fun. I wish there are some more attack or damage abilities maybe you can add in future. Graphics are very simple but suits very well for this game. I enjoyed while playing. Good work ^^

Developer

Thank you! I dont know if i want to expand too much on this project too much as its a pretty niche concept but i still might add some more levels and small features just for fun.

Fun little game, congrats on submitting it to the jam!

We really enjoyed playing through this on stream yesterday! Honestly, I shouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did. I think part of the reason why it was so good is because of the smart level design. You didn't just plop a bunch of enemies in and call it a day, you designed explicit situational encounters with a touch of puzzling and a heap of hot action. Great work.

The die rolling effecting stats was a neat idea, but I largely tended to ignore it and stay focused on combat. I enjoyed it being there though - it was cool to look at it after an encounter and be like, DANG how is my throw stat so high?

Great job on this! With some more art polish and ironing out a little of the mechanical jank (picking up the dice after you throw it in front of you with a low throw stat) it would be a reaaaally great experience. Though I did become quite enamored by some of the jank by the end, I bet a few people on here would get pretty confused if they didnt have someone in chat walking them through some of the more puzzling parts.

Developer

Thanks Im glad you enjoyed it. It means a lot to me!

Great concept and the gameplay was nice and clean. Really enjoyed that you were taught while you played, though some more explanation about the roll results would've been helpful. Other than that, had a lot of fun playing ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Developer

I was a bit light on the tutorial which caused quite a bit of confusion. Thanks for checking it out!

I enjoyed this game!

Having different effects depending on what your dice rolls on is pretty fun, also given that you changed them up per level. It took me a while though to realize that constantly throwing your die is the best strategy, instead of waiting and doing precise throws : D

The Overheal mechanic was a bit odd, since you become so fast that eventually you just run into stuff. And the last stage needs some tweaking obviously, though I almost made it yesterday. So not too much tweaking, but just a little bit : D

Overall cool game that I'll replay today definitely.

Developer

Thank you very much and ... lets not talk about the fith level... :) lol

The concept was actually really cool!  The presentation could be improved on, but overall it's a great game!

Developer

no time for art lol. Thanks

Haha... I had to scrap a couple of sprites I had planned on drawing because of time constraints...
