How does your game fit the theme?
A top-down shooter where you play as a dice, you move by rolling, you attack when stationary and whatever dice side you land on determines the weapon/ability you can use

This is pretty solid, perfect use of the theme as well
Takes a few rounds to really get whats going on with your luck being sapped and what not.
I like the animation for popping in and out of the rolling mode.

There must be some bug with the cannon type ability because most of the time it will only shoot 2 or 4 and not let you finish shooting all of them. This can be mitigated by making sure to hold the button down but not ideal.
And at one point I managed to get stuck on top of an enemy which meant I couldn't do anything.
I think feedback for the abilities could be better, as it is the strat is kind of just to hold fire constantly and roll to reload because it's too difficult to constantly be looking in the bottom left for what you have. If there was a way to see on the dice what you have I think it'd play a bit smoother.
But other than that it's just the obvious stuff like wanting more abilities to master and enemy types with different challenges to overcome, but it was a short jam so, yknow.

It was definitely fun so, congrats

Thanks for all the feedback! Yea the enemies sapping luck based on proximity was a real last-minute add haha, they didn't have any form of attack and I ran out of time, so that came to me as an idea at the last minute, it could certainly use some better visual feedback to show what is happening. There is also some sort of bug with the weapons if you stop firing before running out of ammo, couldn't nail down what was causing it and thankfully it didn't interfere with the gameplay much. I had not come across getting stuck on top of an enemy however, so that's actually super helpful, I'll definitely have to look into what's causing that.

And yea more visual feedback in general for the weapons and overall game is something I would have loved to spend more time on, ironically I actually spent like two hours designing a system so the faked rolling (the dice rolling is totally faked as rotating colliders + physics gets really annoying from a player control perspective) would have the dice always land on a face when they stop, but, then I didn't actually do anything with it XD

Really appreciate you taking the time to check out the game and give such thorough feedback! Thanks!

No prob 👍
And about the getting stuck on enemies thing, it was because when you throw the sorry mines and you get thrown into the air you can technically land on an enemy. Might not be a big deal if it was just one but I landed inbetween a few and just kept rolling for a while.

Nice game! Mechanics are pretty cool...

Really good character animations. The randomized weapon and shooting only while standing gave the game a fun, frantic energy.

Great work! The sound design and animations on the character and weapons are really well done! The gameplay reminded me of old school resident evil where you can only shoot when standing. Very fun!

Awesome work! Really enjoyed your game. I love a twin stick shooter. The animations were super cute too. The frantic nature of running and then shooting, discovering what weapon you happen to have, it was chaotic in the best way possible

Love the style of the main character and abilities! Great game!

To be very honest, this feels more like a playground than a game. There isn’t much incentive to win as there isn’t enough punishment when you lose. With that being said, the animations are gorgeous and have a lot of feel to them. The combat is really fun and the attacks are all unique and different from one another. I'd honestly prefer if it were endless.

Developer(+1)

Yea I spent way too much time specifically on the core gameplay and only implemented a win/lose condition at the very last minute, going endless probably would have been the better approach.

Very fun! Love the control scheme hahaha

I had way more fun playing this than I expected once I figured out how the controls work!

Glad to hear it! It's always hard to tell how others will pick up on your game and its mechanics.

I love the animations! Since the health bar is a slider, you can drag the value around, which is pretty funny.

Thanks! and haha yea I was wondering if anyone would notice that
