OMG I LOVE DOOM + VAMPIRE SURVIVORS, I CAN SEE THIS GAME WOULD BE COOL IN THE FUTURE.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

That was actually a pretty fun experience. Kind of like old school Doom. I sort of wish there was harder enemies as you went along, I was able to camp in a corner for the last minute until the boss appeared at the end. The upgrade options shouldn't have popped up in the middle of the screen as that was where I was already clicking. Multiple times I upgraded the gun without looking at the options because I was in mid fight. Very good entry.

Thank you for the feedback!

Was pretty cool too, tho beetween all the accelerated combat you just accidently click on the middle upgrade when level up

The movement felt so smoot and nice. I had lots of fun playing. My first game I ran out of ammo, but the second game I beat with like 4000 ammo left.  I really enjoyed it, but I felt like while I was shooting the upgrade menu came up and then I would end up clicking the middle one. I feel like if you added a confirm button then you couldn't accidently buy upgrades. I still had a wonderful time, nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion, glad you enjoyed!

The movement and upgrades were really good, loved the old doom-like art too! Only problem I had was that I ran out of ammo and had to restart :p

I enjoyed playing this game, even if I couldn't give a high rating in the Theme Interpretation category.

I liked the art doom art style, the sound FX fits well. It has to be fixed the powerup menu: since you're always shooting, you basically always choose the center powerup being the default cursor position. Requiring a confirmation could fix it

Great game!  I love the art style.  It's very doom WAD Esque.  One of my favorites from this jam.  One small gripe: I wish that when the select upgrade popup appears, it would make you confirm your choice before it goes away. One second you're shooting robots, and the next you accidentally picked reload speed again. That and the wall textures are a tad bland.

I'll keep an eye out for any updates in the future!

Developer(+1)

Yeah that’s true. I was thinking in putting a brief pause before the upgrades show up to give some time to the player to process but didn’t have the time. Thanks!

Maybe you could post it in an update once the jam's over. I have my eyes on your game

Submitted(+1)

also, can you rate my game real quick? I rated yours today

Developer

I rated it already lol

Thats prob the best game i've played for this gamejam so far

I want to do a similar game as well, is REALLY fun to play

The only problem i find is that it doesnt really fit the theme, at least in my eyes

If i was you, i would continue to develop this game, its REALLY fun

The movement is really smoothly

the sound is really good as well and its really balanced
