Interesting concept of blinding the player, very nicely done and I enjoyed playing. The concept of not being told the truth of what your doing reminded me a little of "broken age" The reload I struggled with a little because of all the steps but overall very enjoyable!
Great work! This game was a lot of fun, kind of reminded me of a black mirror episode. The story telling was spot on. Even though I never see beyond my cockpit I definitely felt like I was in a cool flushed out world. The reload and the radar were bit tough but when I got the hang of it it definitely added a simulation feel to the game. Cool submission!
Interesting story and integration of the wildcards,
even though the gameplay is a bit minimal i like what you did with the "navigate on instruments" feel to tie in with the whole military command using you as a pawn bit and the shoot reload mechanic which feels very tank like where after each shot you have a whole procedure to load a new shell and such, its a shame there's no sound at all though cause it would help adding a bit more atmosphere to the game, but what's there makes a cool prototype, i like the interface and cockpit design, and the attention to detail and i also like the whole question authority theme.
had a good time despite the like of sound, good job :)
Thank you! The very slow multi-step reload was the first thing I did when thinking of how to make the player think about what they're doing, so I'm glad it was well-received.
I also really wish I wouldn't have put the sound off for so long. I was wrapping up and playing through the final version about 3 hours before the jam ended and just didn't think I had the time. Lesson learned for sure!
No worries, it's still a cool proto considering the circonstances :)
Hey, does your game has sound? I couldn't hear anything.
Anyway, I still finished it and liked it a lot. I think the minimal gameplay really helped the story, as you really feel detached from what goes on outside the mech. On the UI side, maybe some space between the messages would help to make the chat log a bit easier to read.
Thanks for the game :)
Thank you for playing!
Unfortunately there's no sound for the jam version, I was slacking. I might come back around and put some in though.
