Congrats to your first game jam!

I enjoyed plying it, everything was smooth and the collection of the diamonds was different from other similar games that I know. Keep on going! :)

Thank you!

Really loved the game! The pixel art was amazing too!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that!

This is such a fun game!

I love that you can increase your max HP.

Even though I'm not good at shooting games, I could clear this one!

My score was 56/94!

Developer

I'm glad you had fun and managed to clear the game!
I added the possibility to increase the max HP as an attempt to make the game more accessible for some non-gamer friends who did some beta testing before the submission :)

Great job on keeping it simple and executing a tried and true concept well. I'm in love with the minimal art style that feels very modern but also a throwback to retro games (and a big fan of the Pico-8 palette). Love the particles and windmills that give it a touch of fluidity you wouldn't get from hand-drawn sprites, but it still blends in well.

I like the sound effects, as well as the music. I appreciate you added a mute music button for accessibility. My only suggestions for controls/accessibility is to add a SHIFT key that slows down your movement a bit for precise inputs, and the ability to hold down X to repeat fire.

Very polished stuff, great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and for such a detailed feedback!

Great retro look and feel, reminds me of some old Amiga shooters! Nailed the solarpunk look as well. I found it quite difficult from the beginning, maybe a slightly easier difficulty curve could have helped me. :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't put enough thought into the level design due to the time constraints, in case I'll make a post-jam version I'll make sure to fix the difficulty curve / add some options to make the game easier.

Game is perfect for a jam! It is really simple, doesn't need much instructions and is really satisfying to play. Art and SFX are perfect and consistent.  Overall really good entry!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the kind words!!

Hey well done on submitting for you first GWJ! I thought that graphics were very consistently themed and I thought the colour palette was strong.

The sound was a bit annoying to me. That is the part of retro gaming I am happy to lose!

Developer

Thanks! I used the PICO-8 palette for the game.
I'm sorry that you found the sounds annoying, I've added a mute option for the music for that very same reason but it never occurred to me to add one for the SFX.

Submitted

Sound is all very subjective. I did mute in the end and I can always adjust the main volume

Congrats on submitting!

Feels polished for a jam game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! In fact I decided to cut the game content and polish the game some more

Very fun and polished game!

Developer

Thank you!

It was a really fun game. The pixlart was charming, and shooting through waves of enemies was more satisfying than I thought

Developer

I'm glad you had fun! I put some effort into juicing things up to make up for the lack of content

A very bite-sized shmup but you killed it! Really great art and the chiptune was on point.

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Oh, this was fun. Just a nice, good-looking shooter with some old-fashioned shooter fun. The aesthetic reminds me a lot of PICO-8 games - are you using the same palette, by any chance?

For the sake of accessibility, it might be nice to have an autofire option for those with motor impairments who can't mash the fire button.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, if I ever happen to make an extended post-jam version I'll definitely add an autofire option.
I used the PICO-8 palette indeed!

This is really smooth and the visuals are spot on.

Developer

Thank you!
