Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to try it out!

I really liked this, it seemed really polished and I loved the audio.

For me personally I struggled to get past level 1 but that is really specific to me because of my dyslexia.

For your first jam this is really impressive, great work!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! Accessibility was definitely not this game's strength, and I am looking forward to trying to make it more approachable for those with dyslexia. I was considering making an option UI display that shows the current calculation, maybe adding some additional space between blocks and other things to make it less busy for the mind.

I appreciate your time and feedback!

Neat game! The concept is simple, but you’ve managed to do quite a bit with it. Good music and graphics too. It felt satisfying to reach the target totals. The game is an interesting mix of two types of games: casual combining blocks game where you think a little, make a move, new blocks come in, repeat; and a strategic puzzle where you’re given pretty much the entire setup initially and you have to plan ahead to find the solution. The variety of different mechanics like block replace, bomb, etc keep the gameplay fresh. Audio is good and graphics are really neat. Very polished overall. Kudos on pulling this off within the timeframe of the jam!

Developer

I appreciate all of the kind words! I think you really described well the balance between 'relaxing' and 'strategic'. When I first started thinking about making this I imagined having a timer limiting how much time the player had per move----I now understand that could have been extremely stressful and pushed away a lot of players.

Thank you for your time and kind feedback!

overwrite-blocks were sometimes hard to control, changing an important number into an operand, or vice versa, which could get somewhat frustrating. but apart from that minor inconvenience (and the one-sided sound, as was reported already), this was lots of fun!

very nice concept!

Thank you so much for playing! I went back to tinkering last night so I can release an improved version post-jam, and found that nearly all of my AudioStreamPlayer nodes were actually AudiStreamPlayer2d nodes instead! So that was an easy fix for afterward. I completely agree with making the operand UI, and will be trying to make some type of indicators to make it clearer what the player is 'currently' doing. I appreciate the feedback and your time!

Very well made! I had some confusion earlier on with selecting the blocks, but once I got that it was engaging! I'll echo the other comments that the music was nice, but the 100% pan it had to the left got irritating after awhile.

Developer

Thanks for your time! This was my first time working with audio buses, so that is something I completely overlooked and will be ready to master next time.

surprisingly polished entry! really well executed. gameplay is also quite fun and engaging. the method for selection could use some work to become more intuitive.

Very interesting game, I liked it.

The music was good but audio was kept to one ear, so I had to turn it off unfortunately :(

Seems like an ideal game for mobile! I'll be coming back to this one when I have more time. :)

I had trouble at times knowing if I'd selected the modifiers(?) at the top, which caused me not to do what I wanted on the grid. Again I think on mobile it would work so well, dragging more than clicking I would imagine.

Developer

I definitely under that! It was one of those last things I couldn't fit in. Expect that to be added post-jam! Thanks for taking the time to play!

This one had me hooked for a while. I was able to pick it up and play without even reading the tutorial - that says a lot about your design! Well done. I would absolutely download this to my phone to play on the bus. :D

Developer

Thank you! I made it with mobile in mind, but ran out of time before actually implementing mobile support! Thanks for taking the time to play it, definitely already thinking of updates/changes to implement post game jam!

Lots of fun! Quite challenging. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm excited to try your game tonight!

I liked how it sucked me in. I caught myself really thinking through a good strategy for combinations.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and for playing! I didn't really start thoroughly playing until last night/today, and I was also surprised by how challenging it was to keep everything in mind (target numbers, what pieces I could out down, what the rotating number was).

Once again, thanks for your time! It's an honor to entertain.
