Game Description
birb

How does your game tie into the theme?
You play as a little bird who is nervous around noises. Also you collect eggs which are pretty fragile (although their fragileness is not a part of the game)

Such a cute game! I played until the end and I loved the end screen. Great job! You should add controller mappings for move and sprint.

Developer

Thanks! And oh yeah I forgot about controllers. Will add!

Your lil birdy is so cute I love em. The transitions were really nice too. The sound echo things got pretty hectic at some times, there was a good level of difficulty. Nice job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm hoping it was hectic in a fun, chaotic way, and not in a rage inducing way (which I was worried about while designing).

I absolutely loved the visuals. The ultra cute mac and the adorable run animation. Even the death animation was awesome. Well done!

Cute visuals, fun little game. At first I thought the eggs would also break if they ran into anything which was making things significantly harder for me.

The pixel art is fun and the play is cute and simple. I enjoyed this a lot! I appreciated being able to keep our eggs on respawn as long as we got to them before the enemy sprite got us. I probably would have gotten frustrated quickly without that.

Solid game - love the use of the colours - dash animation looks fast - Enemy changing direction when you come close - very cleave.

Fun short game. Very polished and nice looking with its simplicity.

The simple presentation is really nice. All the little touches like screen transition and those text effects (not sure how those are done!) really add to the excellent feel of the game.

I was hoping there would be an Easter egg to the left of the menu. :)

Well done on a solid submission.

Developer

Thanks! I was planning on having a level select thing to the left of the menu, but I didn't really have time and it wouldn't have made much sense either since there didn't end up being very many levels.

Love the minimalist pixel art look. Also the short little transitions with story elements were nice. It was too short. Would love to play it longer.

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yes, I agree that it's too short.

It was cool how a little maze exploration game turned into almost a bullet hell on the last room. Really liked the minimalist graphics, congratulations for the game.

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Beautiful game! The art and sound were fantastic.

Developer

Thank you!!

Very cute! Didn't seem to fit the theme but I had fun.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I think the bird could be considered "fragile" for being nervous and panicking around the (exaggerated) soundwaves.

Very artfully done. The attention to detail in the pixel art and sound is great. Fun gameplay, though it is a little on the short side

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm especially glad that you like the sounds, because I spent a lot of time on them (which is probably why there aren't very many levels :P)
