Loved it, completed it. I found it a bit frustrating at first because I was smashing my little guy all over the place but once I realised you had to pick your way through the levels, and that it was a puzzle game as much as a platformer, I really enjoyed it.

Thank you!

Very interesting take on the theme! A lot of platformers did something similar, but I feel like yours probably works the best because of the relatively forgiving nature of the mushrooms. Pretty impressed by your first submission to this jam! Keep up the good work!

Thank you! Haha the mushrooms where originally supposed to look like springs but they totally look like mushrooms.

You could call them mushsprings!

Absolutely!

Very fun game! Especially the music gave it a good vibe. Only the character is maybe "too fragile" that he couldn't survive his own high jump. Anyway, good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I was debating whether it was a good idea to have him die by the high jump, and in the spirit of being fragile I chose to make it that way, but I can definitely see why it could feel a little annoying.

Agreed- super impressive first game :) I also struggled with precisely using the controls, but I thought the idea, how we play, music, and artwork were all lovely.

Developer

Thank you! I agree that some of the jumps are maybe a bit too tricky, especially towards the second half.

Very impressive for a first game. Did you make the music yourself?

Developer

Thank you! Yes I made all the assets and music (recording and composing) myself.

Loved the sound, graphics were unique and pretty interesting. I found it hard to know where to go, even with the level being small I had a hard time remembering where the colored doors were. Theme was definitely reached here its a very fun and careful platformer. Very impressive for a first game well done

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your feedback, I will try to be careful of placing more clues next time!

This is very impressive. I really liked the mechanic and the leveldesign.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the game, because I got softlocked when I arrived at the red door without the key. I didn't find a way to get back from there without dying...

The controls and the jump puzzles were very hard to learn but, the frequent savepoints helped a lot to not get frustrated :)

The music and the art set the mood of the game in a nice way. And I loved the camera transitions.

Great entry! Well done!

Loved it! Found it pretty difficult actually. The man character was extremely fragile! I felt like my inputs had to be very precise, which I enjoyed. I really liked the design of the character and the foreground bricks looked super nice. Some of the sound effects were really satisfying as well.

Most of all, I was really impressed with the level design. All of the levels had to work correctly forwards and backwards. The way the keys and doors were places forces you to go back through sections. When going the opposite way I had to rethink the area.

Great job!
