The mechanic was kinda confusing at first but it was easy to understand, and I think yo ucoud have made the text/track size a bit bigger for readability too. But it was a nice game, congratulations on submitting to the jam!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I have to agree

Music slaps (slang for very good)
I wish there were some smaller levels to introduce the gameplay as there is no form of tutorial

Developer

I wish it too lol. I have no excuse not to include one from now on. Haha

I love the look of this one!
This feels like it has potential, though it took a long time to figure out how it worked. These maps feel like a good warm up to get the basics down (mostly counting number of stops per line) as a foundation for harder maps that would actually require you to figure out where the intersections align, like a crossword.

Developer

Thats great to hear! Most of my time went with ctrl c ctrl v station names. So first step would be to find some database for that. Haha. Having no tutorial is a big mistake indeed.

Unique. Although, it looks pretty complex at first. It is quite a fun puzzle game to play and solve!

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!

I love metro maps!! It took me a couple tries to figure out how the game worked, but I did eventually clear all the levels. As others have mentioned, a tutorial, or even just a text explanation on the game page would really help!

For anyone who comes here later, here's how to play:

  • You need to connect the line color with the correct list of stations (which you can switch with the arrows at the top)
  • There is a row of 4 circles: the first is the button you press when you want to submit your answer, the subsequent ones will turn red if you guess wrong. I'm assuming 3 wrong answers will lead to a loss, but I never got that many
  • Counting the stations is one way to figure out which line is which
  • After you get one, it's about lining up the station names where they intersect
  • If I were to compare it to any game, it would probably be a cross-word puzzle, where you have a specific number of spaces to fill, and you need letters to intersect at specific spots (but in this case, they are metro stations :-))

Anyway, I love it :-)

Mostly echoing the other comments, I think the idea is quite good but could use a tutorial and some polishing :)

Developer

Thank you for commenting! Glad you enjoyed it. In the future i will include some sort of text of tutorial even if thats not very nice, but now i really ran out of time.

Great idea.  A tutorial would have been nice though. It took me some trials to get the idea. But after that it was fun to play. Nice submission!  :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Great feedback, completely agree. I will keep in mind in the future that a small text can act as a tutorial, even if i have no time to make a nice one.

It took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do, but once I figured out what I was supposed to do it was better.

Thanks for playing!

I forgot to swap level 1 and two 2. Also a tutorial text could have helped i agree. I ran out of time.
