Game Description
Smooth movement 2D shooter game with fully throwable props!

How does your game tie into the theme?
I was meant to make parts such as the grappling hook replaceable by other parts such as the Jet, which would've allowed dashing, etc. This would mean that you have to assemble your robot character and see what gameplay method you enjoy most.

Damn, Impressive for your first game! I suggest to include a Death Menu and a way to restart. Keep it up!

Developer

Thank you! :D

I will be adding a death menu in the full release and much more with refined AI, I realized the project's size was a bit ambitious for 9 days but it was fun to make this demo :]

The lighting and art were great, the controls were a bit of a hurdle though. Once I got past that, the game itself was pretty fun. I think the  grappling hook was really well implemented too. It's too bad that you didn't have enough time to make the game you envisioned! I like these types of games so I am looking forward to your completed project.

Thank you so much :D

I am currently working on a full recreation (with remappable controls, heh). You can look forward to the initial release maybe a month or two from now if I had to estimate it. :]

Congrats on your first entry!

Interesting theme and style (light as well)

You should consider adding music and sfx to make the atmosphere even better.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you :]

I am going to continue this project for sure, I definitely overestimated the amount of time we had not gonna lie lol.

I love grappling hook games! I really liked the use of skeletal for arms, and the lighting was really well done!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it :D

It's a nice try but clearly a scope of game mechanics, ideas and tech stuff was too big for 9 days. I bet setting up light system already took one whole evening. But i personally really enjoy action platformers, so every new entry is a welcome one for me)

Is lava pit passable? i tried jumping, i tried using grappling hook, tried using hook mid-air - and i'm still hiting lava and "die" (game bugs out)

Developer

Thanks for checking the game out! Ye the lava pit is passable but mayhaps it is a bit hard, I did throw that part together in the last hour lol.

Also yeah I have now learned that 9 days was a bit short for this idea, but I am defo going to work on this project since I have a good plan for it ;]

Very nice and polished. Graphics and light effects, specially when the gun fires up is really enjoyable. Great attempt!

Developer

Im glad you enjoyed the idea :]

I like that you didn't hesitate to try things and add all sorts of light effects and stuff. Even if it's not finished, it's still a good attempt! Welcome to GWJ!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the welcome and your comment :]

oof. I got wrecked by the first guy with a gun.

Nice game, nice lighting effects.

Developer

Thank you :]

Platforming feels nice, art style is really well done and the gun hitting just feels right.
Enemies keep track of you when they see you, even behind walls and dying triggers no "Game over" scene, however. Still enjoyed it

Developer

Thank you for your comment :] I definitely gotta fix the ai lol
