Very good looking game. Building the mech for the first time was very fun! :)
Thank you!
Fun concept and idea, really liked the game. Well animated, great sound effects and that song, lovely. Good job!
Thank you so much!
This music really goes hard. Also this game got some nice graphics and effects, and killing enemies after assembling the machine is satisfying.
However, I had a problem with my first playthrough because energy gauge doesn't seem to fill up after using it all. I found that energy cores exist in third playthrough, because I just assembled the machine near spawning position in 1st and 2nd. Since the machine destroys the signpost, I skipped the important information and had trouble with later levels. I think objects that contain vital information shouldn't be broken easily.
Still, I had a fun time after getting hang of it. Nice job :)
Thanks for the feedback! We liked the idea of having signposts destructible, but I agree that the way we laid out the first level made for some very skippable important information. If we continue it, that's definitely something we'd change!
Excellent call-out! We were expecting people to go through more of the first level to get clues as to how to repair the mech first, picking up the one later in the level. But you've made an excellent point and we will keep that in mind for future iterations! And thanks for the kind words, too!
Fun with brilliant sounds and graphics! My favorite part was crashing into the door with the mech to go to the next level.
Yeah, it was meant to be cathartic after a relatively hard first level to figure out! Thanks so much, we appreciate the kind words!
Awesome game, great job!
I loved playing through it. the music was awesome, and your pixel art is on point! Excellent!
Thank you so much, means a lot to us!
Nice, I was really hoping to mass harvest with my mech killing all of the enemies. Glad you prevented me. Fun game!
I considered it, but since the mech goes away in the next levels, figured it wasn't needed! Thanks for playing!
Absolutely boppin’ music and great integration of colour palette with the art! The beats of the background music feels nice with the character’s walking animation. :)
Running around in the mech was definitely the highlight of the game!
Thanks so much for the kind words - we worked really hard on it!
Probably on of the best ones in this jam, I like it a lot, I find some issues with map collisions and layers but everything was amazing, I really like that you can build your mecha and walk around, on of the best for sure
Thanks! Yes, there were a few bugs we had to deprioritize just to make it on time, but I'm glad you liked it!
Love the colors and art style. It really got me curious about the world you've built. Great job. Here's a link to my playthrough... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1716824445?t=01h08m02s
Thank you so much! You legitimately found every bug remaining in the game, hahaha. That's pretty good! We appreciate you giving us the link, too - we all watched it and loved your commentary and exploration.
Oh, and I'm really hoping to add a mini-map. It was in the original plans, but just took too long to implement!
That's awesome, I'm glad you liked the stream too! I really did enjoy the game. I hope you guys keep up with the game. Looking forward to doing QA for your next project!
Absolutely awesome game, the animations, color palette, and music are *chefs kiss* I was surprised at the amount of levels as well! Wish we could restart at the level you die in, and had some collision funniness in the web build were the colliders for things seemed way too big, other than that, A+
Yeah, the collision stuff happens! It was loosely intentional at times, but you're absolutely right that in many cases it was not. Thank you so much for the kind words!
This was fun. Cool music, nice color pallete and I love that you can actually control the mechs after each level.
Thank you for the kind words! Did you get to the end? You can look and see that the final ship is built out of the mechs, too. Little meta-art thing there Kaishido did that I was extremely happy with. :)
Yes I played to the end! Oh I didn't recognize that the ship in the end was built out of the mechs! Really cool!
I'm glad people are playing it to the end, at least! Thank you so much for that.
I liked the game, the part where you use what you assemble and the music are great.
Thanks!
Art direction and music were super cool! Being able to jump in the mech and run through all the enemies was a fun addition.
I'm glad you liked it, thank you very much!
Phenomenal audio and visuals! Loved the choice of palette, and the way it was used! The animations were great, especially the enemy explosion on death! The repair sequence was also very entertaining.
The final walk as a machine in each level felt rewarding :).
I was a little bummed out that the game restarted after dying but the gameplay loop made up for it! Beat it on my third try!
Awesome entry!
Yes - we wanted to implement that but ran out of time! In fact, Kaishido, who was the designer behind this, really wanted it, but I just had to cut it because of other bugs. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Cool game! I enjoyed the concept and the graphic are great! it really fit the theme.😄
Thank you so much! We really appreciate the kind words!
Cool! I like the presentation and the art so much! The control is quite hard to control but it still do the job well! Very well done! 👍
Yes, if we could do it again (and we might), we will definitely improve controls. I already have some specific fixes ready for it in my head. Thanks so much for playing and the kind words!
Nice
Thanks!
What a great game! Artwork was great, and the use of the limited palette was very well done. Audio was great as well, and the game played very well. Really a well polished experience.
Thanks so much for the kind words! We really put a lot of love into it, but mostly sweat.
wow! your use of a limited pallet was super impressive. I really love the RoboCop vibes with the mech and title menu!
We were definitely going for some kind of semi-cyberpunk, post-RoboCop feel for sure! I see exactly what you mean, too!
Oof, this ones got some VIBES. Excellent use of the palette limitation, and the artwork all around just feels really impressive, especially for a jam game. Combined with the music and solid gameplay it all makes for a very slick experience. The concept is great and well executed, and having a more tense section of vulnerability followed by a smash-everything-in-a-giant-mech section has a super fun balance. (Also I love that you can smash the signs. I don't know why I love that bit so much, but I do.)
I did find that if you interact with something while walking, then let go of the movement key, then stop interacting, you keep your velocity from before and just kind of slide away. Which is something I've done in my games so many times it was actually kind of nice to see it in someone else's, lol. Great work!
Oh yes, that was an annoying bug we chose not to fix in that extra hour! It was maybe a little too much, because we had other things that we really needed to fix. Good find though! Thanks for the kind words!
