I noticed a little design issue, when a round ends, there needs to be a short pause before you can pick a curse, otherwise you may accidentally click on one without a chance of reading anything ^^

Developer

yeah definitely needs work and some polish

the character Very fast but i like the game

Submitted(+1)

I like the speed and I feel like there is definitely a lot of potential here! I think larger falling hazards would be more threatening. Keep on jammin', we're all here to learn!

Fun little game.  Really liked how fast the guy moves - the controls feel tight.

It might be a good idea to start the player with a devil deal or maybe make the round timer shorter so that the game gets crazier faster.

With a bit of post jam polish (sound effects, new enemies etc.) this could be even better.  Good work!

Thank you for the kind words!

Wow, my little character was zooming, haha! Fun little VS clone! I wish there was more audio/visual feedback when you lose health, but overall it's a decent entry!

Developer

Hey guys if you like my submission check out Damned Sword from this gam jam. Way better basically the same but more polished!

I think the character was probably a little too fast! But I liked the overall concept and the gameplay! You've got something here. (Everyone else liked it that fast, it seems, but I prefer easier controls. That said, still interesting!)

Developer (1 edit)

check out Damned Sword from this jam. basically the same game but done way cleaner and better!

Very fast character, and obstacles to keep you moving. Definite potential for more here!

Well done!

Developer

Thank you.  I appreciate you're kind words.  If I want to great more to this game I definitely need to polish basically everything.

Love the fast paced bats and player movement!! Random debris / meteorites forced me to be move around and kept me engaged. Only thing is the timer looked slightly cut off as did the bottom of the screen but could be my browser! Nice entry!!

I really love all the art. The guy is really fast. Great game

Developer

I didnt noticed because you can just sit in the right bottom area and stay safe since I couldnt figure out how to get the bats to spawn on the right and bottom side properly.  I like the concept of the game but you are right I need to polish a lot of the game but I am just learning how to work with Godot and using C#.  I have a JavaScript background and pushing to learn more C# because my job uses it for their backend.

It's a good start and I like what you have done so far, but what are the coin things that drop down?

Developer(+1)

They are boulders falling from the ceiling.  Thanks for playing it. I def need to polish a lot of things but did the jam for learning over anything else
