This game kicked my ass. I think a couple features like coyote time and invincibility frames + being forced away when you get hurt would go a long way. Fun though, I like a punishing platformer.

Taking away movement options as curses was an interesting idea, but didn't really land well for me. I eventually got to the point where my lack of skill got me killed a lot, so I didn't finish the game after the third curse.
That said, the controls themselves (when I was allowed to use them, lol) felt good to me. Could use some coyote time to make the jumps a little more forgiving, but most of the time I could do more or less what I was trying to do. I just did things that sucked. :P

Fun game I wasn't able to finish the last level because when I fell in the void it didn't kill me. Lots of fun before that though
Really nice looking game. I like the glow effects around the fire and time. Its a cool idea to have the time remaining as part of the level instead of showing it in the UI (I think you could probably get away with removing the timer above the player).
The platforming was a little difficult for me. A few "cheats" that platforming games sometimes use are making hazard hitboxes smaller than the sprite and giving the player an extra second to jump when walking off a platform (coyote time). I think if you added those the game would feel a bit easier.
I liked the idea of curses punishing you for using the usual controls. It was surprisingly tricky for me to stop moving left when aiming while jumping. The no jump level was my favourite - the spring mechanic is good (just needs a nice "boing" sound).
Really fun game! I do think the hitboxes were a touch too mean, but still lots of fun to play!

Level design is awesome. The controls feel great. You really nailed that. I loved the curses and how they completely changed the game from level to level. Great game
Loved the precise platforming, made every death feel fair, the challenges were very interesting, and I thought it was a really smart decision to have the player die when breaking the rules of the curse instead of just having nothing happen when they tried to, it made it a lot more interesting.
I also really liked the level design! and it was satisfying to have a final boss.

Ahhh so fun and annoying at the same time. I would get almost to the end of a level and then press the thing I was not supposed to :)
I did notice a couple of auto tile issues but thats nothign major.
I really like the trail following the player it was subtle but looked great.
The little guy reminded me of the wizards from Wizard of Legend, it was cute! I especially liked the background and how you incorporated the glow effect, good job!
Super fun game! I love platformers and this one was nice and challenging. It would be nice to have some indication of hazards before you get to them, but other than that very nice.
Neat game! I like the idea of having a unique gimmick for each level! Only issue I had was a few of the traps I had to brute force my way through running into spikes and just respawning till I found their location by smashing my face into em haha.
On the plus side this game has one of the most beautiful skyboxes I've seen! Well done with the stars and graphics very cool aesthetic!
Great job completing your first jam! Definitely a difficult platformer, the jump curse level was tough for me, haha, but after a while it made me really appreciate the spring mechanic! I think one improvement that could be made is a more powerful dash. Overall, I had fun!
