Hey nice work gamer!

Fun platformer with nice graphics and tunes. The freeze works well however I missed jumps often so found myself waiting for the bar to refill a bunch haha well done!

Atmosphere was so good in your entry!! It was frightening being out alone lost in the woods with no house in sight, knowing I was about to freeze, spam firing my gun before my demise.

I played a couple rounds and unfortunately couldn't find my house so as others have said maybe ability to place campfires or a general path towards the house would've been helpful although may take out some of the fear and unknown so tough balance.

Art and audio were fantastic and UI was done well, I'll say that controls wise the tree chopping stumped me (please forgive me for that pun) at first because I was seemingly unable to interact with them from the side, attempting from the bottom worked great however when chopping from the side an arrow key needed to be pressed while interacting which wasn't too clear.

Great work gamer :D

I really enjoyed your game and the music tied with the art and bird chirping was strangely emotional for me! Simple yes but beautiful and impactful. Thank you for spending the time to create primavera! :D

Intro story, art, music, gameplay so good!!

Earmuffs to mute in menu, while not the most accessible this was so cute! Welcome to Gruberville flyer is nicely designed as is the layout of the town!

I didn't realise at first what it was I was trying to do however after interacting with one of the highlighted areas near a tree placed at spawn I could identify a different decoration on me and so continued hopping around looking for more decorations and fighting kids with snowballs :')

Great festive entry gamers, well done!

Hey great festive entry gamers!

Built in tutorial was helpful and I enjoyed defrosting everything initially to uncover a warm inviting home. Once things started to freeze up again, I knew what I was in for haha

I really enjoyed trying my best to get through the full jingle bells song however I'll agree with most others that notes/bells freezing just adds a little bit of frustration more so than challenge as it leads to missed notes or spamming to then stuff up the next note!

Overall loved the way the frozen parts developed and the art and music worked great for your well polished entry :D Great work!

Well done gamers! Your entry has atmosphere in spades with the environment, audio and art style :D

Enjoyed the challenge of this one, maneuvering to simultaneously avoid lasers, move the solar heart and not drop onto spikes was frustratingly enjoyable :')

I will agree that the black dots overlaid on the screen was a little distracting and I think a sort of player movement 'freeze' (get it) would be useful on checkpoint respawn as I kept dying due to being able to move while the screen was black, transitioning back into the game as i was eager to get going again! Only other thing would be legibility of the menu, I admittedly was pressing the 'words' unsure of how to start initially so maybe making the buttons a different colour or something could help :)

Good fun, nice challenge, thank you for your effort!!

So good! Very high quality entry gamer :D Loved the meteorite deterioration, made the drilling a bit more rewarding to see it in action!

UI aspects were all very purposeful and looked great, art overall is fantastic and I actually enjoyed the silence over music but maybe some white noise or breathing (might also be annoying) would add something to the atmosphere when outside the ship.

Loved interacting with the computer and the text entry bit, dialogue and button press options being positioned so far apart had me lost at first but once I saw that the button options appear near the player / computer, I was fine! Might be worth seeing if dialogue and buttons should be together just to eliminate that initial confusion.

Thank you for putting your time and energy into this entry, it has paid off and is a great game :D

Haha thank you so much Rakudajin!

Appreciate you playing and glad you had fun :D

Gamer this was so FUN! My hand hurts omg hahaha

Great interpretation of the theme, love the username entry / login to sell the PC feel. Those popups that scaled annoyed me so much but it was very satisfying when I got them closed.

Indication of how many clicks at the top of each tab is simple and easy to understand and I enjoyed getting fired and the other emails that would come through as I battled to keep my CPU load down.

I didn't use the shop till the end and then my CPU got to 101% and I crashed :')

Great entry, very well done :)

Hey! Thank you for your wildcard, inspired me greatly and let me play around creatively with UX / UI :)

Thank you gamer! :D

Hey! Thank you so much for playing, looking forward to playing your entry :D

Appreciate the feedback, yeah can get quite hectic in level 3 with the speed and decoy bombs hehe

Hey there, thank you so much for playing and providing feedback on your experience! We'll be looking at controls in an update post voting period. Seems the line between our intended difficulty and player controller feel was a bit blurred so we'll definitely work on improving that! 😊

Cheers!

Great idea and well implemented! The sniper reticle and bullet UI were very nice and while I enjoyed playing your game for a bit, it did start to feel a bit repetitive for me! Great work! :)

This was so much fun! Initially I wasn't really finding a reason to rebound the bullets and was happy shooting directly but the level where it's mentioned on screen was great. Had a lot more fun with rebounding bullets and was shocked at how the levels kept coming. You got so much done!

Boss fight was a challenge, however it was taking out almost half its health upon seeing me due to rebounding bullets through its own shield. A few careful snipes later and I was free to find my reflection and win the game! Great work!

Hey good fun! I made it through all your levels with some trial and error. Fast addictive gameplay, if there were more levels I don't think I would've stopped till completing them haha

I will agree with Rakudajin around the need for a health display somewhere or suggest as an alternative, lowering the spawn frequency of yellow orbs and making them an instant death like the acid pools!

First GWJ and solo, you should be stoked with the result, great job :)

I really enjoyed playing this! Lots of games made on the same theme but this one stands out in a great way. Simple, yes but impactful! The storytelling, music and graphics all tie together so well and your pause screen UI was so clean :D

I think the 'what do the mirrors reflect' screen is great mechanically but as you mentioned in-game, it does unfortunately look quite rushed. Overall loved my experience with your game. Great job!

Hey nice entry! I had a bit of movement trouble in browser but managed okay, pushed the block against a solid wall a couple times forcing a restart but I really liked the 'revive' mechanic and how it played into using your past self to solve puzzles! Well done :)

Art style was very nice and I enjoyed the feel of the environments, very spooky I didn't like the chasing figure AT ALL hahaha!

I would agree that the goal wasn't clear but I enjoyed wandering around until my death oh and the 20 volumes about Jelly!

Really enjoyed playing through your game! The light beam bounces are so satisfying and there was lots to play for a jam, 10 levels all nicely designed and well balanced with the additional light beams to assist with the increasing complexity. Level 9 was a head scratcher for a bit but I was keen to figure it out and eventually did :D

The simplicity of the UI is very well suited and I loved the bouncy fade in/out on restart/level change. The only thing I'd say is player speed does seem a bit needlessly slow but everything else was great :)

Great work!

Happy to hear you had some fun! Thank you for playing and for your feedback.

Thanks to yourself and others, we're looking at supporting the game with a future update to tighten the controls and movement!

Decided to edit my comment instead* RE: game not being downloadable previously.

Pretty fun stuff! While I didn't understand the mediation or mind side of things I did like the interface and was frantically dragging towards the eye sometimes increasing my health and other bars! Enjoyed jump kicking a load of enemies, managed to get to the boss fight which was a sick area but caught an uppercut and chose to rest in peace. Good entry! :)

Fun entry! Enjoyed how my completed puzzles would be lit up in the menu, the use of the undo wildcard worked perfectly for your game too. Well done :)

Fitting implementation of the theme, wish there were more levels or a bit more to do! The controls were a bit clunky but the concept came across well.

First jam and a solo entry isn't easy so well done for getting something in! I'd suggest adding a thumbnail and brief description if you have time :)

Cool concept, your echolocation looks and works great! I did headbutt some spiders too many times initially out of confusion but soon started to enjoy munching down on some bugs. The bobbing was a bit too much for me personally however I noticed you had settings to adjust it which was appreciated!

Just a note regarding the windows build, it launched in a weird aspect for me so part of the game was beyond my screen until changing resolution and I also accidently entered what I realized was debug mode by pressing 'F'. Might not want that to be as easily accidently accessible!

Great work!

What started as confusion, grew to enjoyment very quickly in your game! I really enjoyed trying to coordinate myself with my previous 'reflections'!

I think the intro was great, communicates the gameplay very quickly for the future levels! I will say I wish there was some music or sound effects. There's also a small bug at the end where the pause menu is inaccessible by the 'thank you for playing'. Overall I really enjoyed your entry :D

Your thumbnail caught my eye and I wasn't disappointed. Seeing that triangle prism splitting light out through the various colours in game looks so good!! I made it through levels 1 and 2 with no issue, level 3 gave me some challenge and I unfortunately could not figure out level 4 but enjoyed what I played of your game.

Intro cutscene is a great addition as is the saving of my level progression. Would've loved a bit more of that prism colour fun reflected (get it) in the UI but otherwise everything looks great.

I will say on my first play I'd kind of rushed passed the UI telling me how to rotate so had to relaunch as I couldn't figure it out on my own. Controls work fine mostly although rotating speeds up loads at a point so I had to tap arrow keys instead of holding them. All in all, great work gamers! :)

Hehe yup! Thank you for playing and we appreciate the feedback! :)

It's a cute lil froggo hey! Thanks for playing and for your double jump suggestion! :)

Thank you! Stoked to hear you enjoyed the gameplay :D

Fellow frog gamer!!

I enjoyed eating those delicious flies and avoiding those damn eels! I liked how the enemy had a stage where you could determine they were going to jump in that particular direction, it gave me time to assess their move and attempt to avoid it. I liked the simple upside frog falling through the water on death and the overall simple art style.

I think the score UI could be moved in a bit so it doesn't look cut off and the menu / controls screen could be refined a bit but otherwise good work!

Extremely polished and well made game!! Love the UI choices you've made, it suits the arcade style very well. Love the audio and art, your enemies and objects are awesome, everything seems to work perfectly.

I enjoyed playing your very refined game!! Incredible job :D

Art style is really cool! Loved your on-screen visuals for controls to suit the 'textless' wildcard, made it very clear what controls were. Your intro of pulling the spear out is awesome as hell.

Gameplay wise as batonalt mentioned the player 100% needs to be able to dash through the enemies otherwise you're mostly stuck left clicking while all the cool attacks are being hurled at you. Maybe slightly less enemies with health bars or an attack with more power could work instead! The vampire boss is very cool and their attacks are done well!

Good work :D

Art style is great! Character teleporting works well and I like the marker for where you'll be teleported! I got to level 2 and then kept fooling the ghosts by teleporting back and forth hahah

Fun little game with some great groundwork for further development if you were planning on it! Good work :D

Hey pretty cool game! I enjoyed the challenge of having to try getting fish back that I'd gotten too far from and using the hedges to pile them closer together! Those damn fishermen though omg haha nothing worse than having a nice collection of saved fish only for those dudes to rush me and take them all!! Only managed to save a couple fish each time. Very enjoyable and the art style is great!

Well done :D

Actually really enjoyed just planting seeds and picking the flowers! As others mentioned you get to a point where there are so many large clouds going so fast across the screen that it's hard to see anything haha! Tried to cover the whole field in grass but couldn't seem to get the bottom two rows as well as a tile here or there on its own.

Great relaxing game with a cute character! Well done :D

Great entry! The backstory art and dialogue sets up the game theme so well!! I enjoyed the challenging nature of the platforming but would agree some coyote time/collision resizing is needed so you can still execute a jump while the player appears to be on the platforms!

Player animations, art, music and UI all really nice! Well done :D

What a really fun game!! Great work!! The audio when collecting energy/orbs is really nice and suits the background audio really well. Controls are simple but the diving to then gain height afterwards is a great mechanic. I love the way your 'levels' progress, it's done very smoothly and makes sense in the world you've created!

Kept getting pushed back down once I got to the new enemy type area - they're tough but avoidable if timed correctly so seems very balanced! After playing for a bit I did notice the orbs sort of blending in with the rain but that's my only feedback!

Well done!

Great game ARez and PixelDev! Took me a few tries to realize I could actually move with WASD - was trying to use the mouse dash to land in puddles assuming that was how to regen. Eventually figured it out which made it much more fun. Should've just read the controls on your page haha but maybe some on-screen WASD key layout imagery would assist.

I really enjoyed slicing through enemies with the slow motion effect you put together with my best being 7 enemies in a single mouse dash which was super satisfying!! Best go was with 59 kills overall :D Rain effects, art, enemies and particles all top notch!!

One thing I noticed was the sound effect and slowmo can work on the same recently killed enemy if you dash through them again but can't confirm if it's counting as a second kill to my score. Also I was able to select and deselect the lives on the top left of the screen which I assume you shouldn't be able to!

Awesome game, you should be very proud :D

Hehe definitely was inspired by the chrome dino game :D Yeah sometimes the bird spawns do make it a little tricky to time your jumps! Our programmer did play around with the distance between umbrella platforms and jump height, it's a tricky thing to get right but I'm glad you thought the game was cool! :D

Thanks for playing ARez!
