Another platformer game I am terrible at! I could not even get passed the first level. Good use of the explosion theme, adding a little animation to it would really help sell it. I like the on screen tutorials but did not like the default controls. The art style is great, the old tv effect is really cool.

another funny game! maybe buffering the fact to get out of a platform for a few ms to be able to jump could make the game even more feel good!

This is one of the funniest game i played for this jam , really a great job!

mac version crashed when I pressed o to explode.

So I googled it and it may be due to GPUParticles apparently? I’m planning on releasing a (separate) updated version after the jam and I might add an option to use a sprite for the explosion. Maybe that’ll work?

At first I thought it was just a retake of Celeste’s controls but the limited amount of dashes makes for a very different and interesting mechanic.

Hey!

Good entry overall. I didn´t make it to the end :( The controls were a little bit sloppy for me, so more tight control would be great (the flies are a pain in the ass to get right). Also the hitbox was sometimes weird when precision was needed. The main mechanic was nice, lives as jump and dynamite tubes.

Keep up the good work!

The old TV effect is really nice, you created this shader? The explosion (jump) conditions needs a small polish, but was a good entry. Good job.

pend00 on Godot Shaders made the filter actually! I’m not smart enough to write shader code lol.

Here’s a link if you want to check out this and their other filters: https://godotshaders.com/shader/vhs-and-crt-monitor-effect/

- Theme:  Main  tie in was the end screen

- Fun:  This was a really fun game and the mechanic about using jumps as a resource was clever

- Controls: The platforming was responsive and intuitive. The collision box on the main character was a little wide for some of the stages

- Graphics:  The CRT filter was cool, solid graphics

- Audio:  The song was nice in the background and the SFX fit the graphics

- A11y:  No feedback

- Originality:  This was a cool take on the platform genre

The game looks and feels good. I think what could have been better is that those moving platforms allow to pass through from behind (I got stuck into the floor).

That was fun. Good game. I think that is the perfect difficulty level for a jam game.
